sun dream team tips – the weekly catch up

The FFGeek team

Here’s the weeks scores.

sun..carchupWeek2

A fairly up and down week although the end overall rank of 150k of an estimated 750k teams is marginally up on last weeks rank of 170k overall. On Saturday and Tuesday night I had advanced to just under 110k but Sunday and Wednesday were less successful falling back to 150k

As far as the weekly scores are concerned it’s not a great indication of overall team strength when 1 player scores nearly half your teams points. That’s what Kevin De Bruyne did with 23 of 48 points. The fact that he was only in the team due to a late injury doubt of Silva makes it a very lucky break.
The Chelsea duo of Ivanovic and Hazard contributed 12 points and Aguero 10. Darmian, Depay and Ozil continued to be a waste of space with only 4 points between the 3 of them. Bellerin and Kolarov had off weeks with negative points scores and Benteke suffered an injury and is now out for 2 weeks meaning he could miss 4 games. At the moment I’m not planning on transferring him out. If I was I would probably gamble on Man Utd new boy Martial who’s 1.5m cheaper. I cant but if you don’t mind changing from 4-3-3 to 4-4-2 you go for midfielders and those at a comparable price are Pedro, De Bruyne and Eriksen.

The Capital One Cup

Here’s the draw for the next round

Tuesday 27th October 2015

CAPITAL ONE CUP – FOURTH ROUND

Everton v Norwich
Hull v Leicester
Liverpool v Bournemouth
Man City v Crystal Palace
Man Utd v Middlesbrough
Sheff Wed v Arsenal
Southampton v Aston Villa
Stoke v Chelsea

Out of the non European involved teams, Everton, Southampton and Leicester have good draws. Everton and Southampton played reasonably strong teams and are a bet if you want to stray away from teams outside the Euro teams for player options. Leicester played quite a 2nd string team and will be more of s gamble given that and the tinker man Ranieri being in charge. For Everton I would go with Barkley or Lukaku. Southampton Mane or Pelle and Leicester Mahrez

Injuries

I am going to use my emergency transfer for a long term injury. That’s not really how you may want to do it but here’s some injuries during the week and suggestions

Benteke is the main injury casualty this week and I’ve spoken about him above.

No other major ones this week Silva seems ok to return but looks like he will be treated with kids gloves. I personally wouldn’t change him for that though but if you do it’s simialr to what I said for Benteke if you go 4-4-2. De Bruyne or Pedro as suggestions.

Stones, Pelle, Diouf all look short term.

Lovren looks a problem although no return date at the moment.  Smalling or Bellerin would be my choices here

The FFGeek league leader

Ricky Millington continues to lead the league by 17 points and is in 79th place overall and 65 points behind the overall leader.

It seems the way to win it is to put in multiple teams and nail your colours to the mast with 1 team defensively at least and this team follows that pattern.  Wlsewhere it’s a spread of European competing teams and a cheap GK.

Thats it we’ll see you next week
