Sun Dream Team transfer window 4 tips – injury update to crucial players

Sergio Aguero

Rob Dawson of the MEN today tweeted:

Pellegrini says Sergio Aguero won’t travel to London to face Arsenal and needs ‘one more week’ to recover from injury.

This implies that he hasn’t started training yet so it seems likely that he will miss 2 games post transfer window 2.  He may also be eased back with sub appearances and be treated carefully when they play the catch up games mid week.  Thats if it all goes to plan.  He doesn’t have a great injury record and it’s possible these time frames could go South.

Again depends on how much risk you want to take.  I’m going to think about it over night but I’m likely to stay away at the moment.  Dzeko is the main beneficiary but also the main person who has Aguero’s shadow over him.  Especially if Pellegrini only plays 1 striker as he has been.  That maybe lack of faith in Negredo and Jovetic as opposed to him ditching his long time 4-4-2.  Unfortunately all that is impossible to preduivct

Aaron Ramsey

The Sun Dream Team midfield sensation.  At £2.5m he would be hard to turn down thats for sure.

A much more straightforward situation

Here’s what Wenger said on the Arsenal website

Ramsey is progressing well but we need to be patient for a few more weeks.

I seem to remember hearing this in January.  I’m staying well away.

Adebayor

This is what Sherwood said in his press conference

“He’s confident that he’ll be ok. He knows his body better than we do so let’s hope he’s right with that prediction.”

Thats fairly positive so I would go with that if you’re thinking of buying him

A few significant others

Koscielny has no return date.  Vermaelen will take his spot but lose it on return.  Risky going for either and sell Koscielny

Wilshere has no return date.  Multitude of options to replace him but I would sell

Walker has no return date and is a risky hold

McGregor is out for the season.  Harper will be the replacement

RVP is out for 4-6 weeks.  A definite sell.

Eto’o apparently will be back soon.  Avoid him and Torres though due to rotation
