Bryan Forbes O’Rourke

Bryan finished an incredible 7th place overall in telegraph fantasy football last season

76 gameweek points, total points 1,450, Overall rank 2,621 transfers available 16

A bit of a disappointing week with only 76 points scored and a slip in the rankings to 2621 place overall.

Not having Aguero has been a calamity with his back to back home hat-tricks. Its going to take a 9 -0 drubbing of Newport at the weekend with the goals shared between Sane and Jesus to salvage this team.

On the brighter side, bringing in Pogba for Richarlison was a good move with his brace in the early match. Other than that not much else happened.

No transfers will be made with it being the FA Cup 5th round this weekend. It’s a case of licking the wounds and taking stock for the next full game week.

All the best.

Sergio finished in 1,951 position last season in telegraph fantasy football

65 Gameweek points Total Pts 1,474 Overall rank 1,448 Transfers available 11

After a great January and start to February, last week was on the poor side, so my rank almost doubled to around 1.5K. Too many blanks in the team, with just 4 returners, although good points all of them. I used two transfers, Aubameyang to PVA on Saturday, and Alonso to Jota on Monday, none of which had immediate success. Gutted with the Alonso -3 given that I was planning to remove him earlier expecting a battering (although not so much), but somehow he survived there for the City game.

This weekend I am hoping for some gains, given that my team is well setup for the FA cup games. In principle, I won’t be making any changes this round.

Good luck this week Geekers

Team review.

That has to go down as a pretty good week. If my Wolves experiment had paid off I would have broken the 100 point barrier. As it turned out, my three Wolves players failed to contribute anything meaningful. However this is just the beginning, and they have three good fixtures left to prove their worth.

I might not have expected a Chelsea clean sheet when they squared up to Man City, but I certainly wasn’t expecting a -3 for my Kepa keeper. Luckily the rest of my defence made up for Chelsea’s incompetence.

The undoubted stars of the show this week were Sterling, Pogba and Aguero, collecting 47 points between them.

Team thoughts

I made my two planned transfers on Monday evening, bringing in Jota and Jimenez. With my Wolves contingent in place, I’m happy with my team for now. It’s another FA cup weekend on the way so I certainly won’t be making any changes until that latest lottery is out the way. I am in a rare position for me, where I don’t have any players I am desperate to bring in. It would be easy to make a rage transfer, kicking out Kepa, but I don’t want to use a transfer on a keeper, not even a Kepa keeper. Chelsea may have got spanked, but I imagine they will keep a fair number of clean sheets in the future.

I’m more than happy with the transfers I have left, hopefully leaving me in a strong position for the run in. So there are to be no transfers this week, barring unexpected injuries.

Good luck boys and girls.
