Bryan Forbes O’Rourke

Bryan finished an incredible 7th place overall in telegraph fantasy football last season

47 weekly points 5,519 overall. 5 transfers left

Only 47 points scored this week and ranked 5519 overall.

After Sons sending off in came Rashford for 2 points , and the leftover change allowed Shaw for Doherty. Doherty has been brilliant however I would not be surprised if Liverpool put 4 or 5 past Wolves on Sunday. Heavens forbid Man United keep a clean sheet against Cardiff at the same time.

Transfers will be preserved for the Cup final unless one or both of Salah and Robertson are injured in which case I’ll look to bring in a Man City player as replacement(s).

Good luck !

Sergio Torija

Sergio finished in 1,951 position last season in telegraph fantasy football

Weekly points 54 Total Pts 2,081, Overall rank 1,770

55 points for my team, no Liverpool clean sheet, so a good week for me, climbing back inside the top 2K. This matches my rank last year, which I suppose is the maximum I can aspire now for this team without any subs left. At least I am reasonably well stocked in City players with 4 representatives.

My last transfer was used last week, Doherty departing with 10 points, showing the way to Laporte, also with 10 points J. So no more need for planning in my case, anyone with transfers left, I suppose City is the one place to look at, unless you want to go against the odds and back Watford.

Good luck for GW38 Geekers!

Team review

Oops, I did it again. I totally lost track of time on Monday, and forgot to make my planned transfers. With Laporte getting a shutout and an assist, that cost me 10 points. I’ve been sulking ever since. Annoyingly, the transfer that I remembered to make on Sunday, didn’t go too well. Shaw, and the rest of his underperforming United side contrived to draw 1 – 1 with the mighty Huddersfield.

Luckily, my Liverpool defence and Doherty showed how it should be done.

Other than Salah, the rest of my attackers were all members of the two point club.

Team thoughts.

There is of course just one full round of fixtures remaining, followed by the FA cup final. With that in mind, it would seem silly to use any of my remaining three transfers on anyone other than Man City or Watford players.

I will be bringing in Laporte, better late than never. That will leave me with two further transfers. To be honest I am undecided where they will be used at the moment. Do I go safe, or do I go differential in a bid to climb the rankings? I have considered bringing in Deeney, but I’m just not sure how much of a look in he will get against Man City. Also, will he be rested for Watford’s game against West Ham?

On the City side, I will already have Ederson and Laporte, so don’t really want to bring in any more defence. I’m not that confident of City keeping out Watford.

That leaves the attackers. I obviously have Aguero and Sterling. I suppose B Silva is the sensible option.

It will also depend on the availability of Salah. If he is out, he will be replaced by a Man City player, probably B Silva. The last transfer can wait until the final.

In summary:

Doherty out for Laporte.

Depending on fitness, Salah out for B Silva.

Good luck boys and girls.

Stephen finished approximately 1k last season OR

Week points: 45  Overall rank: 7,291  Transfers remaining: 2

A fairly average week (again) but it was a low scoring week in general. I brought in Bernardo Silva on Monday for the extra game meaning I have 5 players from the 2 teams in the FA cup final with 2 final transfers to get more. I’m not expecting any real increase in rank between now (7.2k) and the end of the season
