Fantasy premier league – the captain choice game week 10

Fantasy Premier League

Heres my analysis of the various fantasy premier league captain choices for game week 10

My view on the fantasy premier league captain choice generally revolves around picking players who are flat track bullies ie those who have the ability to score against poor opposition.  RVP is the person who breaks all the rules as the top striker in the league who can score against anyone.

RVP  ARS H

In every game hes started hes got returns.  Hes one of the few strikers that is in the top 10 shots and the top 10 chancres created.  Valencia should start and up against the defensive liability that is Andre Santos there should be opportunities.  He is up against one of the best defensive teams in the league though which is not ordinarily the criteria for a captain choice.  However RVP is no ordinary striker and today of all days he will be extremely motivated.

Gareth Bale WIG H

Lets look at Bales record against qualifying teams for captaincy

NOR H – 1 point

RDG A – 11 points

QPR H – 8 points

Villa H – 3 points

SOUTH – 10 points

Its not a bad record but certainly not perfect and his 2 failures have both been at home. Wigan aren’t the best defensive team but they’re not the worst.  He just continues to make me a little nervous as a captain.

Defoe WIG H

here’s the qualifying games

NOR H – 5 points

RDG A – 9 points

QPR H – 8 points

Villa H – 5 points

SOUTH – 5 points

Great consistency.  Defoe really is in the flat track bully class and should be considered an option in all qualifying games.  He is also 2nd in the overall shooting stats.

Hazard SWA A

Here’s the qualifying games

RDG  (H)   11

NOR  (H)   9
A good record in a very small sample.  The Swansea defence is definitely one of the worst in the league and seems to do its worst work at home.  However, Hazards stats have dropped off recently and he isn’t in the last 6 shooting stats so youre relying on his quality.  If Mata doesn’t play though which seems a good chance then he should see more of the ball and possibly a central position.

Here’s my ranking:

1.  Defoe

2.  RVP

3.  Bale

4.  Hazard

I’ve ruled out Suarez at home to Newcastle and Tevez away to West Ham as not being qualifying fixtures.

I’m choosing RVP with Bale as vice captain.  I don’t have Defoe or Hazard though.   Good luck in your fantasy premier league captain choice
