Here’s the points
Semi Final Review: So a disastrous Match Day with just 41 pts and a rank drop from 40th to 184th overall. No player returned except Messi who luckily was my captain otherwise it would’ve been worse. I went too heavy on France attack and defence both of which backfired and those with Oyarzabal and/or multiple Spanish defenders made substantial gains this round. Honestly I am not surprised my luck was finally turned after an amazing run of few MDs and I still feel lucky overall where I am, going into the final Matchday.
Final Preview – Max Captain activated
So with 6 transfers and no eliminated players it’s always tricky to transfer out players who are usually starters because you never know if they’ll haul the same day you sell them. However, at least for the 3rd place match we get to see the lineups and most of the transfer decisions would be based on that. I suspect a few rotations on both sides and a final opportunity to take punts on scouting bonuses. As of now, here are the transfers I am planning to make provided they start, or in case of finalists, there’s no news of injuries.
Maignan to Simon
Emiliano Martinez to Risser
Digne to Cubarsi
Molina to Lacroix
Baena to Gordon
What I do know is that I have one final chip left which is the max captain and it’s already activated, so at least there’s no headache to pick a captain this round. I’ll try to share my final team before the Matchday starts on X, so do keep an eye out.

Neither Mbappe nor Bellingham delivered as Captain
GW8 Finals – if current French players play will stick. Expect England collapse
Starting point is 5 French, 4 England, 3 Argentina (Messi + 2 Defenders), 1 Spain and 1 Egypt (3.5M keeper)
Reminder England-France starting lineups will be available before the Round’s deadline
Priorities (start with 0.2M in the bank)
Bring in Yamal as expect success against weaker Argentina fullbacks for Olise so long as Dembele and Mbappe start
Will Mbappe, Kane, and Bellingham start to chase the Golden Boot?
Will drop Kane for Oyarzabal to free up cash to upgrade
Will move O’Reilly and Romero to Cucurella and Porro (hopefully an assist each before being removed in the 70th minute? before the inevitable Argentina final 20-minute onslaught)
Digne to LaCroix free up 0.5M
Simon in for Mostafa (finally get 2nd keeper)
Round 8 Finals: Stick with Mbappe and Bellingham, Shift to Spain Defence
