Here’s our World Cup fantasy final article for Sunday 15 July which is based on our FFGeek team updates for the McDonalds FIFA format, Sun Dream Team and Telegraph Fantasy Football World Cup. There’s also the probable lineups, team news and injuries for the final of Croatia v France
World Cup fantasy final – the FFGeek team changes
Days and times in UK time for the final are:
4.00 PM Sunday, July 15 France v Croatia
McDonalds
Total points 310. Overall rank 33k. Wildcard and maximum captain active
A nothing day saw a 1k improvement in rank. Both teams playing a full strength team for the 3rd place play off negated the wildcard
Knockout phase changes
You need to make your captain changes and substitutions before the kick off of 4pm UK time Sunday 15 July
I will be making 4 substiutions:
Lukaku out Pogba in
Loftus Cheek out and Rakitic in
Maguire out Strinic in
Pickford out Lloris in
I’ll also change captain to Griezmann although I imagine I don’t need to
I will, at least, tweet around 3.00 pm UK time on Sunday after those lineups are out. Here’s the substitutions unconfirmed
If you’re looking for stats on potential players for their clubs for today here are my key articles. Remember though they were done prior to the tournament so you need to see at least how much they played in the Group stages and the knockout phases before you pick anyone and also look at the probable lineups below
Sun Dream Team
Total points 332 Overall Rank 55k transfers used 20 out of 20
Another poor day saw a 3k deterioration in rank
If you’re looking for stats on potential players for today here are my key articles with stats mainly for their clubs. Remember though they were done prior to the tournament so you need to see at the very least how much they played in the Group stages and the round of 16 and appear in the probable lineups below
Transfers
No transfers left so this is it now
Here’s the team with Saturdays points showing
Telegraph fantasy football
The standard team: Total points 413 Overall Rank 8.8k transfers used 15 out of 20 for the remainder of the tournament
The Def Block team: Total points 416 Overall Rank 8.2k transfers used 15 out of 20 for the remainder of the tournament
the standard team
So a small improvement in rank of 1k to an OR of 8.8k
The transfers I will do subject to lineups are
Meunier out Hernandez in
Trippier out Vrsaljko in
Hazard out Perisic in
Sterling out Pogba in
Kane out Mbappe in
Again I’ve gone for a risk spreading exercise rather than putting my eggs in one basket
I will at least tweet any transfers probably around 3 pm UK time on Sunday.
Here’s how the team looks at the moment with transfers unconfirmed
the defensive block team
A small deterioration in rank of 1k to 8.2k
Again I will wait to see the lineups but I will be following through with the theme for a French Block defence with the England blcok defence out.
I will at least tweet any transfers around 3pm Sunday after the lineups are out
Here’s the team with transfers unconfirmed
If you’re looking for stats on potential players for today here are my key articles which have stats mainly for their clubs. Remember though they were done prior to the tournament so you need to see at the very least that they played in the Group stages and appear in the probable lineups below

Probable lineups
Here’s the probable lineups, injuries and team news from whoscored for the Final tomorrow. There isn’t one for the 3rd place play off which could feature anyone to be fair
France
Didier Deschamps is not expected to make any changes from the side that beat Belgium in the semi-finals.
Djibril Sidibe is still a doubt for les Bleus but Benjamin Pavard is safe to start at right-back.
Blaise Matuidi avoided significant harm in a challenge with Eden Hazard that forced him off, but should be fine to start on Sunday.
Olivier Giroud should keep his place up front despite a poor performance last time out.
Croatia
Croatia should also name an unchanged XI from the side that started against England, although there will be some tired legs.
Mario Mandzukic came off against England with cramp but should recover in time to start Sunday’s World Cup final against France.
Ivan Strinic also limped off on Wednesday night but should be fine to start at left-back this weekend.
Sime Vrsaljko remarkably recovered from a knee injury in time to start against England and will continue at right-back here.
That’s it, good luck for tonight’s 3rd place play off.

It’s too late to join the telegraph league btw. I’m not sure what the rules are in joining the other leagues now but here’s the details anyway
