Semi Final Review – 38 points and 171k OR
Here’s the points

Another bad gameweek going from 132k to 171k
This time it wasn’t other managers boosters doing the damage it was my gamble on the French defence and attack which conceded 2 and scored nothing. Captain Messi helped me back somewhat but with O’Reilly and De Paul on the England and Argentinian bench respectively there was no cavalry coming from my bench.
The situation was made worse by the sale of Yamal and Oyarzabal left my team and both returned to facilitate Kane coming in who did nothing v Argentina
The only players who did return were Messi and Simon.
I played the price for concentrating risk rather than spreading it.
The Final and 3rd/4th place playoff
Deadline is 10pm Saturday 18 July UK time
The first thing to say is that while Spain and Argentina will obviously field their first strength team it’s a bit of an unknown what France and England will do. However we will get notice of the lineup before the deadline which will help team selection even if it means a bit of last minute panic
Starting with some odds
I’ve split the names into players on the top line that you’d expect to start and added others on the line below
By team including to win and CS

In order

The Transfers
6 transfers available.
The first thing to say is that if we are happy to predict the Spain and Argentina side then we don’t need any playing subs
This team below may all change depending on the lineups we see of the England France game
I’ve based the team mainly on the odds above which are weighted on Spain in defence and France in attack
So given that here are the proposed transfers given the information as I write this on Friday
Upamecano, Saliba, Kounde, O’Reilly, Baena, De Paul OUT
Porro. Laporte. Cucurella, Medina, Kante, and Doue IN
$0.0m In the bank
I don’t expect Medina and Kante to play. It’s just to save money
The reserves will be
Rangel, Martinez, Medina and Kante.
Martinez will start v Spain and be my 1 bench insurance player in case 1 of the Spanish players and Messi don’t start
Here’s how it looks unconfirmed.
I will confirm the lineup in the comments and on slack (see link above at around 9pm on Saturday). Kick off at 10pm UK time. I will be shocked if this doesn’t change given it’s mainly a French and English team
