That really couldn’t have gone much worse and I’ve nearly tripled my Overall Rank after only Messi, Mbappe and Upamecano returning.

Effectively option 2 keeps Oyarzabal instead of putting Kane in. They have the same to score or assist odds so from that point of view the transfers makes no sense.
Keeping Oyarzabal allows the transfer of Vinny Jr to Bellingham instead of De Ketelaere
