Key elements to go forward approach: Boosters
Wildcard and 12th Man Played
Qualification Booster (Round 4) — +2 points for each player on team who makes next round
Clean Sheet Booster (Round 5) – each player who gives up only 1 goal gets credit for a clean
- Round 5 still likely to have some lopsided matches that lend themselves to 1 goal or less
Plan to play Max Captain in Final or Semi-final round when less chance to swap between players during the Round (as only 1-2 games)
GW3 results: 106 points, Round Rank of 21K and Overall Rank of 36K
Got returns in every position except 1 with Yamal failing to deliver
Rotation of captainers landed on a success with Vini JR (and Mbappe, Kane and Bruno still in reserve)
GW4 Team: Playing Qualification Booster
Reset team focused on Premium Attackers plus cheap defenders with likely solid next two gameweeks (set up clean sheet in GW5)
Need 22 points from Qualification Bonus so all players on winning teams ideally with defence having Scouting Bonus (+4 points from both)
Game now focuses on quadrants to create options to Quarter Finals
Want to have roughly 7-8 players from Side 1 and 7-8 players from Side 2
- I am currently on 6 players from Side 1 and 9 players from Side 2 which is lopsided
Path to Side 1 Semi-Final #1 (3 Players) – France and Germany in Final 32 while Netherlands/Morocco play Canada / South Africa
· Netherlands/ Morocco Winner to best Canada/South Africa before Losing to France
· Currently on 2 France (Mbappe and Olise) plus Kimmich of Germany
o Kimmich becomes Dumfries or Hakimi in Round 5
Path to Side 1 Semi-Final #2 (3 Players) – Spain – Portugal in Final 16 to play weaker team from USA-Bosnia-Belgium-Senegal
· Current Thought to have 1 Spain (Yamal), 1 Senegalese (Salbari) and 1 USA (Dest)
· Little confidence for single round win from USA-Bosnia-Belgium-Senegal
· Note: this appears to be quadrant for Round 5 (next week signings) once know winner of Belgium-Senegal which I fancy vs. US
Path to Side 2 Semi-Final #3 (5 Players) – Brazil-England likely to meet in Final 8
· Current Thought to have 2 Brazil and 2 England plus 3.5M Scouting Bonus Goalie Mostafa from Egypt
Path to Side 2 Semi-Final #4 (4 Players) – Argentina Quadrant. They have easiest route to Semis
· Current Thought to have 2 Argentina plus Swiss Scouting Bonus Defender Elvedi and Colombian Scouting Bonus Goalie Vargas
Round 4: Wildcard Plus Qualification Bonus
· Two I am least happy with are Elvedi and Vargas (still could change)
· I also thought about Sarr in for Kane and Bellingham in for Bruno G
