McDonalds

Total points 126.  Overall rank 136k no Wildcard or Chips used

Some how not having anyone playing saw a complete reversal of all the gains of yesterday and I’m back at 136k

Todays changes

It’s round 3 now.  You need to make your round 3 transfer before the first kick off of 3pm UK time

No substitutions as no one on the bench who hasn’t played is playing today

The captain change for this match day is gone from no show Caballero to Muller

If you’re looking for stats on potential players for today here are my key articles.  Remember though they were done prior to the tournament so you need to see at the very least that they played in Round 1 and 2 before you pick anyone

Sun Dream Team

Total points 189 Overall Rank 65k  transfers used 11 out of 20

So only a loss of 9k overall rank which was pleasing.

Firstly here’s a link to my timeline article so you can see the order of teams playing in the Group stages.  That may effect your transfer decisions

In retrospect you can transfer a player for a game after the first 1 in a match day as long as the player out’s team hasn’t played on the matchday and the player in’s team hasn’t played on the match day.  Here’s the rules which I think I interpreted incorrectly at first.    The Sun Live chat have verified it as did some other managers who have used it so it seems safe

An eligible transfer will take immediate effect and will occur if you transfer a Player out for another Player where neither the outgoing Player’s Country nor the incoming Player’s Country have played during that Match Day.

If you’re looking for stats on potential players for today here are my key articles.  Remember though they were done prior to the tournament so you need to see at the very least that they played in Round 1 and 2 and the lineup graphics below before you pick anyone

Transfers

My only transfer today will be Neymar in.  The only way I can get him in is for Ronaldo as Cavani plus £1.5m in the bank isn’t enough for Neymar.  Uruguay and Ronaldo meet each other in the round of 16 and unless there’s a penalty I think the chances of scoring are pretty even and also pretty even on who will win.

I did think seriously about Sterling out for Coutinho as an alternative.  It is an attractive propsect as I think Sterling could easily not play tomorrow.  However England will have a decent round of 16 game and he should return for that so I stuck with him.  Plus I like Neymar more than Coutinho although both are attractive prospects who whoscored like.

So the transfer will be Ronaldo out for Neymar

I will at least tweet this transfers probably around 6pm UK time

Here’s the team as of today with yesterdays no points.

Telegraph fantasy football

The standard team:  Total points 210 Overall Rank 15.1k  transfers used 19 out of 26 in Group stage

The Def Block team:  Total points 222 Overall Rank 9.7k  transfers used 24 out of 26 in Group stage

As I said above,  here’s a link to my timeline article so you can see the order of teams playing in the Group stages.  That may effect your transfer decisions

In the telegraph you definitely can make transfers between matches.

the standard team

There is going to be a mass of transfers today and at this moment in time I’m not sure how I do them rather than all at once.

At 2pm

Costa to Gomez

Alba to Rudiger or Sule

Then I will do at 7pm

Messi to Neymar

Isco to Coutinho

Guerreiro to Fagner

However if Gomez or Rudiger/Sule don’t start then anything could happen.  I’m trying to avoid making transfers before team announcements

That would leave me with 2 transfers and 7 players on the day.

Here’s the team as it stands.   I will at least tweet that transfer probably around 2pm UK time and/or 6pm

the defensive block team

With only 2 transfers left the block team has peaked and it’s all down hill from here.

I will use the last 2 transfers today for the Germany game

Costa to Werner/Gomez and Ramos to Kimmich

Here’s the team as it stands. If I change my mind I will at least tweet transfers probably around 2pm UK time or 6pm UK time

Probable lineups

Here’s graphics from the excellent site whoscored.com to show what they think are the probable lineups and the whoscored player ratings.  Things can be a bit unpredictable.  I think if no injury news then everyone is fit.
