Round 3 Review – 88 points RD3, 284 points total and 90k OR
Here’s the points
So an ok Wildcard round but ultimately disappointing after a great start with Vinny Jr and the double Ivory Coast defence clean sheet. Although it’s hard to complain when only 2 players in the end didn’t return.
I contrast this with the top 20 in the FFGeek league where only 2 of the top 20 scored less than me.
Rd of 32 – Qualification Booster active
I don’t see why they included such a stupid booster but whatever.
So here’s a very basic chart I did to start the process of picking players
It looks at the favourites in order to win and the players within that who are also within the top tournament goalscorer odds. Then there’s the chance of winning the RD32 match which is important for going through and the qualification Booster
So looking at that I concentrated on the key players within that schedule.
The forwards in Mbappe, Messi and Kane were pretty obvious especially given how the premiums have performed although the opposition will now get stronger.
I had 3 key midfielders in Yamal, Vinny Jr and Dembele from the chart. Considering that England have been a bit stodgy and Rogers can reduce Bellingham’s minutes plus his price I ignored him. Summerville’s minutes have been not as consistent as I’d like. So I went for 2 fillers in Pulisic and Nmecha. They are with teams with opposition they have good odds against and Pulisic is £2.20 score although Nmecha £6.00.
In defence I went cheap on the GKs out of necessity with the US and Mexico GK. This will come back to bite me and I will have to change them at some stage.
In defence I went for double Argentina and 3 out of the top 4 favourite teams to win the competition. The USA was the only gamble because of the price and the £1.85 CS odds
