fantasy premier league game week 5 – Swansea v Everton – the immediate reaction

various

Here’s the immediate reaction to the early fantasy premier league game today.

Line ups

Swansea lined up in their usual 4-3-3 with Tate and Davies keeping their place in for the injured Taylor suspended Chico.  Ki was preffered to  Britton and Hernandez surprisingly for Dyer.

Hibbert didnt make it at RB and Distin was dropped which seemed a little harsh even if he wasnt at his best against Newcastle.  Neville and Heitinga started instead.  Anichebe came in for Jelavic and Fellaini held his place as a support striker.  everton played 4-4-2

The Match

This was nothing short of shooting practice for Everton.  38 shots on goal.  Fantasy premier league owners of Jelavic must have been shaking their head in exasperation as the lethal Croatian could have had any amount of goals in this match.  Anichebe squandered numerous chances.  Swansea defence was absolutely hopeless.  Even allowing for 2 players missing they were desperate and not helped by the lack of screening from the midfield which did nothing to close down the Everton midfield.  The only surprise was that it wasnt more than 3-0 to everton

Player analysis

Fellaini

Undoubtedly MOTM. he was a constant menace.  With a great set of fixtures coming and top of the shooting stats in fantasy premier league he’s a no brainer to be in your team.

Mirralas

Been a real threat since coming in and although its hard to not see Jelavic coming back he should hold his place.  At £7.4m and a striker thats just a bit too rich for my blood.

Baines

Another assist and a CS.  Bound to be a share of the bonus as well.  for anyone with a bit of cash to spare the returns will come with these fixtures

Michu

A couple of shots but things are’nt looking as natural now the fixtures are getting trickier.  Still plays in a very advanced position so when the fixtures return he shouldn’t be overlooked

Graham

A couple of threats but has shown nothing when the fixtures have been good let alone when they get trickier.  Hes a sell

Swansea defence

I’ve had a few I told you so’s against me and this is one back.  They were poor and at an average of £5.0m each they are not worth it.  I don’t even think the suspensions and injuries can excuse it.

On to watch the rest of the games.
