fantasy premier league midfelders tips 2014/15 – GW3 “ones to watch” elite midfielders over £6.0m

Fantasy Premier League, Player Rankings

Here’s my GW3 midfielders over £6.0m “ones to watch”. There’s a table of stats to help you make your choice and I’ve started to integrate this years numbers although obviously 2 games data does give fairly distorted results.  At the moment I haven’t done enough work to include Di Maria

Ramsey

2 games 2 goals from practically only 2 chances as Ramsey continues where he left off last season.  Also has the advantage of a rest midweek after being suspended for the Champions league game against Besiktas.  A dangerous player to ignore at 45% ownership.  Mixed fixtures coming up

Next 6 fixtures

Leicester (A)
Man City (H)
Aston Villa (A)
Spurs (H)
Chelsea (A)
Hull (H)

Sterling

Quiet game against City after a great start against Southampton.  Currently playing on the left side of the forward 3 in 4-3-3.  Balotelli may change tht formation but Sterling is the likely cadidate to play behind the striking pair in a central attacking positiom.

Spurs (A)
Aston Villa (H)
West Ham (A)
Everton (H)
West Brom (H)
QPR (A)

Mata

Scored against Sunderland but it was another pretty quiet game and this is more about fixtures rather than form.  Di Maria could cause a problem if United go to 4-3-3 with Di Maria  in the front 3.  The 3-4-1-2 formation may not continue which could be negative for Mata.  Fixtures are excellent though

Burnley (A)
QPR (H)
Leicester (A)
West Ham (H)
Everton (H)
West Brom (A)

Fabregas

Got rid of any worries that he would only be an assist based player and wouldn’t be getting into the box with a performance that showed some shooting potential.  Has a great share of set pieces and instrumental in the Chelsea attack.  Chelsea have had the 2 easy warm ups and now the real fixtures start

Everton (A)
Swansea (H)
Man City (A)
Aston Villa (H)
Arsenal (H)
Crystal Palace (A)

Sigurdsson

Another good overall performance with an assist.  Should have been a goal after ghosting into the penalty area and missing a good chance.  Played centrally as an attacking midfielder after Monk failed to call on Gomis as a 2nd striker.  Only Chelsea are a difficult fixture in the next 6

West Brom (H)
Chelsea (A)
Southampton (H)
Sunderland (A)
Newcastle (H)
Stoke (A)

Sanchez

With Giroud likely to be out to the new year and Wenger making sounds that they won’t be buying a striker then Sanchez is most likely to fill that position.  In truth the 2 games as a striker so far have been anything but a success.  To purchase Sanchez you have to believe hs underlying class and the advanced position will ultimately give you returns.  The other impediment is Ramsey. Why own 2 Arsenal assets with the mixed fixtures and the plethora of other midfield options?  This makes Sanchez a hard choice to make.

Leicester (A)
Man City (H)
Aston Villa (A)
Spurs (H)
Chelsea (A)
Hull (H)

Hazard

There can’t have been any doubt about what he could do at home matches against lower placed opposition and we saw it again in a fantastic performance at home to Leicester.  In truth he was unlucky to only be rewarded by a goal.  Only 2 similar fixtures in the next 6 is the only negative.

Everton (A)
Swansea (H)
Man City (A)
Aston Villa (H)
Arsenal (H)
Crystal Palace (A)

Silva

Very poor performance against Liverpool and deservedly subbed.  Didn’t even get forward like you’d normally expect.  Home to Stoke is a good second chance fixture though.  With Jovetic the only guaranteed forward starter there’s an outside chance he could play behind the striker.  Home to Stoke is a good time to give him another chance though but after that it’s Arsenal and Chelsea

Stoke (H)
Arsenal (A)
Chelsea (H)
Hull (A)
Aston Villa (A)
Spurs (H)

Tadic

Despite the 0-0 draw it was another good performance by Tadic who played in a very advanced position and got in a lot of shots and chances created.  However this is really a fixture play with Spurs the only difficult opposition in the next 6.  New players to the premier league outside the top 4 challenging teams aren’t regularly sucessful but he has looked good and if it’s ever going to happen these are the fixtures that will do it

West Ham (A)
Newcastle (H)
Swansea (A)
QPR (H)
Spurs (A)
Sunderland (H)

YYT

It wasn’t supposed to be like this.  The purchase of a true sitting CDM in Fernando was supposed to give YYT far more licence to roam forward.  Yet it was anothr game where he barely got into the opposition box let alone get any shots and he also didn’t create a single chance.  However like Silva home to Stoke is the potential path to redemption even with Arsenal and Chelsea after that.

Stoke (H)
Arsenal (A)
Chelsea (H)
Hull (A)
Aston Villa (A)
Spurs (H)
