Sun Dream Team transfer window 3 tips – analysing the top 20 point scorers to date

Here is the table of the top 20 point scorers from the Sun Dream Team site. Below we analyse the top 20 in various ways:

sun..tw3top20Scorers

Analysed by position

10/20 are strikers

6/20 are midfielders

2/20 are defenders ( Both are CBs )

2/20 are GKs

Interestingly the top 5 are all strikers and 7 of 8 are strikers.   Its back to normal as far as position with the attacking players (16/20) dominating the points and that is where it is worth concentrating your funds on. The defenders are from Man Utd.

Analysed by teams in European competitions

12/20 are in European competitions (assuming you dont count Southampton).  5 of the top 6 are in European competitions.  The strategy probably isn’t as dominant as in previous years but still strong enough to be the focus of our team.  Whats interesting though is 1 player from Spurs and Chelsea and none from Liverpool.  The 2 Manchester clubs and Arsenal are the focus

The 8 players outside this are Lukaku, Barkley, Vardy, Mahrez, Ighalo, Deeney, Butland and Pelle.  6 of thopse players are from 3 teams.  The Leicester and Watford players have made exceptional starts to the season and real dominant forces in their team.  Lukaku and Barkely have benefited from the Cap 1 cup.

Analysed by team

Man City 5 (Aguero, De Bruyne, YYT)

Man Utd 4 (Rooney, Smalling, Blind)

Arsenal 3 (Sanchez, Giroud, Ozil, Cech)

Everton 2 (Lukaku, Barkley)

Leicester 2 (Vardy, Mahrez)

Southampton (Pelle), Spurs (Kane), Watford (Ighalo, Deeney) Chelsea (Willian) Stoke (Butland)

Interestingly since transfer window 2 the only new entries to the list have been Cech, Deeney, Willian and Butland

So what does this mean?

Concentrate your funds and transfers on attacking players especially strikers.   Players from teams in European competitions, those who will concentrate on the domestic cups and players who are dominant forces within their teams are the areas to concentrate on

Next we’ll look at the teams with the best fixtures in the next phase of Sun Dream Team
