Who are the Best New Strikers for 2019/2020 Season?

Are we ready for the new FPL season? That’s a no then. It’s tough this year as there are not really any bargains floating around. The days of the £4.0m defender who plays every week are well and truly over. It’s all about the £4.5m defender rotation this season.

The new site design is pretty good, and it feels smoother. It’s always nice to see the little kit designs too. I think we can all agree that Arsenal have won the best kit award this season for both their stunning home and away shirts.  A lot of teams have betting and casino companies on their shirts these days given the proliferation of online casino UK deals that are about.

Cheap New FPL Striker Options

We’ve all changed our FPL sides about 50 times since its early launch at the end of June, but who are you going to settle on by the time the first gameweek deadline passes? Let’s look at some of the new strikers…

Sebastien Haller (£7.5m)

A record signing for the Hammers from Frankfurt, Seb Haller seems to have it all; power, pace, aerial ability. Some journalists are calling him the signing of the summer, but at £7.5m, is he cheap enough to bring in? He’ll certainly get goals, and with the likes of Anderson and Fornals supplying him, he could well hit double figures with easy this season.

Teemu Pukki (£6.5m)

Norwich’s only hope of staying in the Premier League according to some. He scored an absolute bucket load last season, but this is another level altogether. Can he handle the pressure knowing that his goals are probably going to determine whether Norwich stay up or not? The first few games will be interesting, but it’s probably not a wise move bringing him in from the start. It’s Liverpool away for Norwich on the opening weekend.

Che Adams (£6.0m)

Southampton’s new prodigy is already enjoying life at St Mary’s after scoring in pre-season to settle any nerves that may have been there. At £6.0m, he could prove to be a bargain seeing as he should start every game this season. He’s now their main frontman. Much to Charlie Austin’s dismay. Burnley are up first for the Saints, so he could be worth having from the very start.

Wesley (£6.0m)

If you know everything about this guy, you’re probably lying. He looks a great prospect, he really does, but nobody can judge how good he’s going to be until he’s played a few games. He’s arguably one to avoid initially, but if he starts well then snap him up. Or take the risk from the start! That’s how winners are born.

Three Big FPL Strikers or Money in Other Areas?

This argument has been going on since FPL began back in 2006 or so. Do you spend all your funds on an amazing front three and forfeit other areas, or do you bring in just one big striker to even your squad out? The price of the players has probably made it an easy decision this year. Many players will be spending more on their defence this season, which will make it very difficult to build a fantastic front three. However, try adding in the likes of Kane, Aguero, and Aubameyang. See how much you have left and go from there.

The best option, in all honesty, is probably going to be one big striker, one mid-range striker, and one cheap striker. If you don’t keep some spare change for a decent midfield, you’re not going to do very well in FPL this year.

If we had to choose, we’d probably go with Harry Kane, Jamie Vardy, and Che Adams. One humongous snippet of info to look into though, is penalty takers. With VAR in place in the Premier League now, expect a lot more conversions from 12 yards.

Whoever you decide on, good luck. You may be like thousands of others after gameweek one. Putting together an amazing squad, getting about 25 points, and forcing yourself into a wildcard before gameweek two. It happens so often. It’ll be interesting to see who score the most points from the three new names above that’s for sure.
