I always hate saying I told you so, but RVP announced  to his fans and fantasy premier league managers that he would not be signing a new contract at Arsenal on his official website.  To be honest, after the transfer of Olivier Giroud it didn’t take a genius to see that he was purchased as a replacement for RVP rather than any possible partner as I couldn’t  see how he could have fitted in to a RVP based system.

FANTASY PREMIER LEAGUE PLAYER ANALYSIS – MAN UTD’S SHINJI KAGAWA

Man Utd are another team, like Chelsea, who in my mind definitely needed to sign Luka Modric.  I mean when Wigan get 60% possession against you, you’ve got to start thinking about whether you should be keeping the ball better.  The fact that SAF got Scholes back from retirement and the impact Scholes had just shows how desperately the issue needed to be resolved.  Michael Carrick isn’t the answer, that’s been recognised.  So I was somewhat surprised when Shinji Kagawa was signed.

EURO 2012 FANTASY PREMIER LEAGUE REVIEW ENGLAND V ITALY

No matter what Chelsea did this season you cant consistently keep winning  without the ball.  37% possession and 12 shots to 49 really is an indictment of Englands performance.  Much as it pains me any other result would have been a footballing travesty.

FANTASY PREMIER LEAGUE NEW MANAGER PREVIEW – PAUL LAMBERT

The conundrum with Paul Lamberts Norwich City last year went along the following lines:  You see that your premium midfielder of, say, Nani is on the bench being “rested”, you look towards your own fantasy premier league bench and see that Andrew Surman, who the week before scored a goal and an assist and took all the corners and the majority of free kicks to come on and bag you some points.  For some unknown reason though Paul Lambert has rotated him and its nil poit all round. Arghh….

EURO 2012 – FANTASY PREMIER LEAGUE PLAYER REVIEW

This is a player review of all the fantasy premier league players in the Spain v France Euro 2012 quarter final.

Spain won this game convincingly 2-0. The first half saw France sit back deep and just look at Spain pass the ball around.  Do completely nothing other than watch in Florent Maloudas case.
