The first 2 days of draft fantasy football are now over so here’s a review of how the FFGeek team and league have started off

So firstly here’s how my team has scored after Saturday
21 points after Saturday compared to the average of 28 is a pretty uninspiring start. However I have to be pleased with Mane and Kompany. Rodriguez also lead the line and looked sharp until moved right when Rondon came on so that’s promising.
Unfortunately 4 players in Ramsey, Mustafi, Sane and Austin all started on the bench. Ramsey and Mustafi I think is just a fitness thing and Ramsey will eventually partner Xhaka as a CM so I’m not looking to offload him. Mustafi could be a trade as I also have Monreal although that defensive performance of Arsenal won’t have helped his stock. Sane and Austin are different matters and their futures are definitely under consideration.

So here’s the state of play in the head to head situation after Saturday
As we have a odd number of managers in the league I’m up against the average score. With only 2 players today I’ll be lucky to make the ground up.
The waiver and trade situation
Prior to the league opening I offered 2 trades which were both rejected.
I offered Mahrez for Zaha which I’m not too worried about if Mahrez stays. Thats the big question.
I offered Mustafi for Vertonghen which to be fair was a bit of a long shot.
Of the 4 players who didn’t play I’m keeping Ramsey. Mustafi might just be ditched an each week I try and pick up a decent clean sheet prospect on the waivers . Or I could try and trade down but with good immediate clean sheet prospects.
Sane and Austin I may keep for another week as the waivers don’t look that inspiring. However neither look great prospects to start next week. So I need to consider their situations more.
Fabregas will be suspended for 1 game but until Bakayoko is fit to start then he’s not a problem. There’s a bit of a queue for the bench though this week!

I might consider Austin for Mounie who has reasonable fixtures and maybe Vokes. I’m 2nd bottom on the waiver order though which isn’t helpful. My problem is that I like Austin alot and if he gets in the team he will score goals. That’s a big if though. At the moment I’m undecided and need to think more if I get the chance to take either Vokes or Mounie.
On the Mustafi front Otamendi and Stones are both on the waivers so with the City back 3 one of them maybe worth a gamble for Mustafi.

The only doubt is whether I just put Austin on the bench and gamble on double Arsenal defence.
