Bournemouth

King

Blanked.  90 mins.  CF and CAM.  Started the last 4.  Played half as the lone striker and half as CAM when Afobe came on.  Had a goal ruled out for a foul on John Stones but apart from that it was a pretty lean night.

Fraser

Blanked.  90 mins.  LAM.  started last 7.  Did nothing although took a few set pieces and was always pretty advanced

Jesus

Injured off after 14 mins.  Likely out for season

Aguero

1 assist.  76 mins.  CF.  If he doesn’t suit the system then it sure makes enough chances for him.  Led the game with 5 shots although none of them were really clear cut chances except for maybe the goal which deflected off Mings for an own goal.

De Bruyne

Blanked.  90 mins.  RM.  The 4-3-3 system doesn’t really suit him from an FPL position.  He’s often assisting the assister, too deep and not in the box.  Having said that he popped up a couple of times but had 1 blocked shot and 1 wild shot from distance.  Didn’t create many chances although put Sane through 1 on 1 with the GK late on.  Disappointing lack of set piece involvement which were mainly taken by Silva.

Sterling

1 goal.  90 mins.  RAM.  Played fairly wide right in the front 3 but came inside effectively when play was focused on the left.  That was how the goal came after a cross from Sane was deflected by a defender resulting in a tap in for Sterling.  Also hit the post from a Sane cross.  Provided the cross for the Aguero assisted goal unluckily.

Sane

1  assist.  90 mins.  LAM.  Probably the man of the match and a single assist didn’t really do him justice.  Hit the bar from close in and also got 1 on 1 with the GK late on but shot wide.  Like Sterling often is quite wide coming in when play is focused on the other side.  Possibly seems more likely to assister than scorer

Defences

The game was dominated by City which reflected the defensive stats
