fantasy premier league GW12 – early transfer done

Fantasy Premier League, ffgeek teams

Well I’ve been sitting her cogitating for a couple of hours to add to most of the day thinking about it when I really had other things I should be focusing on.  However an early transfer is now done.  Here’s how I finally got there

fantasy premier league GW12 – early transfer done

Well the picture was a bit of a give away.  The transfer was Sanchez out Hazard in.  I hate doing early transfers and over an international break is the worst.  As I said in my earlier  review post I have 3 players in South America, one not selected and another suspended.  Luckily I still have 1 transfer saved if someone is injured which is some insurance.  However Hazard is going up in price tonight according to the excellent site FPL statistics.  That caused me future planning problems so I decided to bite the bullet and hope for the best.

Hazard has some tricky fixtures but his form is impossible to ignore.  The reason for the early transfer is that with Arsenal having Bournemouth and West Ham in GW13 and GW14 I wanted to buy back Theo Walcott for those 2 fixtures.  He actually has better underlying stats than Sanchez in my view anyway and is just ridiculously good value.  A bit stupid considering I just sold Walcott but hindsight is a wonderful thing especially when you consider he wasn’t guaranteed to start due to injury.  You see from the options I put up that getting Walcott or even Sanchez back if warranted leaves little room for price movement so I had to bite the bullet.

At the moment Sanchez has 56% ownership in the top 10k according to the excellent site FPL Discovery.  I’m hoping that reduces drastically over the next 2 weeks although he’s only 38k transfers down now overall.

Here’s how the team will most likely lineup in GW12

Here’s 2 options for getting either Theo Walcott in or Sanchez back (bizarrely) for GW13.

Walcott in for GW13

Allen out – Walcott in

Vertonghen out – Friend in (That relies on a Walcott price drop as I’m £0.1m short).  Otherwise I’m increasing my burgeoning investments in either WBA or Swansea defenders at £4.3m

Or Sanchez back for GW13

I know that sounds even more strange to buy Sanchez back rather than just to the above transfer now but there’s no way I’m selling Lukaku before a home game to Swansea. Lukaku in GW13 is away to Southampton so it’s not a bad exit point.  The transfer could also be Walcott or even Ozil to be fair.

I didn’t do the Alonso transfer despite a clean sheet looking fairly nailed away to Boro in GW12.  It just made it impossible to get Walcott back.  Spurs and Man City in 13/14 are tricky clean sheet possibilities anyway so I’ll gamble Mustafi over Alonso on those 3 fixtures

Thats it.  Now for the stress of watching for injuries over the international break
