1. The overall average finishing position of the top 10 managers is 2,943
2. The top 10 FPL managers have not been out of the top 10k in the last 3 years (ie 30 times playing)
3. 9 of the 10 have finished in the top 1,000
GAMEWEEK REVIEW
An ordinary week for the top 10 FPL managers. 6 of the 10 had green arrows.
The average score of the managers in GW31 was 46 compared to the average of 40. Thats 6 points and 12% above the average score. The high score of the 10 was 65. The low score was 38. A big spread of 27 for a low scoring gameweek.
The average overall rank of the top 10 FPL managers saw a small worsening of rank to 106k compared to the last gameweek of 102k. An average rank worsening of 4k. The best rank is less than 100 and the lowest 476k. A couple of scores are distorting the average. If you calculated the median rank then that improved to 37k compared to 42k last gameweek. An improvement of rank of 5k. At the moment 6 have overall ranks inside 100k. 2 are inside the top 10k.
The average value sees it staying the same at £105.6m as per the last gameweek
If you’re interested my score was poor at 48. I still had a higher score than 5 of the managers. My overall rank is now 77k compared to 72k last gameweek. A worsening of rank of 5k. I’m ahead of 4 of the top 10 managers. My team value is low in comparison at £102.2m. A worsening compared to the last gameweek at £102.4m. My total score is 1683 points.

They have some big differences (30% difference is the benchmark) with the top 10k rank.

FOCUS ON 1 MANAGERS TEAM
Again we focus on the managers team who last season finished the highest of my then top 10 FPL managers ending up in 1,400th position. This manager is the closest thing to a fantasy football celebrity there is due to his consistent results so we’ll keep an eye on him.
A poor week. Although he’s playing pretty defensively not to lose rank at present so he still has a 13k overall rank. A worsening of rank of 3k from the last gameweek of 10k. His total points are 1, 750 after a poor score of 43 this gameweek. Just to give you a bit of context his last 3 years overall rankings have been 1,450, 277 and 90.
THE HIGHEST SCORING AND LOWEST SCORING MANAGERS IN GW30
Highest scorer
The highest scorer was 65. He’s now ranked around 110k
Lowest scorer
A low score of 38 sees this manager who has been the constant straggler fall to 476k. Before you criticise him his last 3 years overall ranks were 2,801/ 623 and 987. This guy knows what he’s doing and a reflection of how hard this season has been.
27 points difference but unlike many past weeks it wasn’t the defence or the captain that makes a difference. Defence accounted for 8 points but the majority of the difference was 21 points with Alli and Hazard. Shows again that just a couple of players this season can make a huge diffierence
TOP 10 MANAGERS COMBINED TEAM
Here’s a team to represent the top 10 managers. It fits within my team value at £102.2m quite easily
The core players who are in more than 50% of the 10 managers teams are Lukaku, Sigurdsson, Alli, Sanchez, Valencia and Alonso.
If you cross reference this with the top 10k managers with players over 50% then by that Siggy, Lukaku, Alli and Sanchez are essential.
