This is part 3 of the FPL managers who contribute to the FFGeek site with good histories who show their teams each week. This will give people a feel for what other managers are doing. It’s a fairly informal thing with no obligation on anyone and these teams may change at anytime before the deadline without further notice. It won’t cover transfers in real time either. It’s just to give an idea of the trends for the week no more.  The teams are shown as their “final-ish” teams so they could change.

A solid start to the new season. Certainly something to build on after the disaster that was last year!

I’m likely to save the free transfer this week. The only players I’d be tempted to move on are Barnes and Toney, both of whom disappointed in the opening weekend. However, both have reasonable fixtures over the next couple of gameweeks and I’m willing, for the time being, to be patient with them.

This then gives me the opportunity to further assess the potential replacements: the likes of Benrahma, Mbeumo, Sarr, Dennis, Richarlison all stood out during the opening round. But it’s very easy to chase points and jump to conclusions when really further analysis is needed. I’d like a bit more evidence before jumping on to these bandwagons.

Additionally, saving a free may well prove invaluable in order to respond swiftly to any developments in the transfer market – specifically, Kane’s likely move to City.

Talking of City, their game against Norwich will be a difficult watch without owning any of their players. But I’ll just have to take it on the chin. Really the only affordable option is Torres, but he is a massive game time risk and I’m not prepared to let Pep roulette spoil my weekend at this early stage of the season!

I’ve currently got the captaincy on Salah but I’m very tempted to move it to Bruno. Burnley’s usually solid defence, the early kick off and Salah’s poor record against Burnley are pretty persuasive reasons.

Best of luck to you all!
