Here’s the 2nd part of the first week of the series where 10 or so FPL managers who contribute to the FFGeek site with good histories who show their teams each week. This will give people a feel for what other managers are doing. It’s a fairly informal thing with no obligation on anyone and these teams may change at anytime before the deadline without further notice. It also wont covering early transfers. Daren finished in 4k last season, 24k in 15/16 and 11k in 14./15. Incredibly he finished 46th in 12/13

Coming off what may have been my best ever gameweek, with a move into the top 100k and an increase in rank of over 400,000. Lots of things went right for me after playing my wildcard: Morata gets a hat trick, all four defenders get shutouts plus three of four get bonus points (Jones 3, Ward 2, Monreal 1). I captain Aguero and his late goal and assist bail me out as against those who have captained Kane.
This week there will be no transfers and my lineup will be as follows:
Goalkeeper: Fabianski who is away to West Ham. Reasonable shut out chance and more probably, save points.
Defenders: Monreal (BHA), Jones (CRY) if he playsdue to injury yesterday, otherwise will play Ward, Otamendi (che) and Cedric (stk). Will be interested particularly in the Stoke- Southampton fixture to get a better bead on the actual quality of the Saints’ defense. I was pretty impressed with Stoke’s attack against Chelsea and I think they were unlucky not to score. Choupo-Moting is playing as a center forward and I will be looking for returns from him as an out-of-position player over the next 6 to 7 gameweeks.
Mids: Choupo-Moting, Mkhitaryan (CRY), Salah (new). I am thinking that for GW8 I may trade Salah for Coutinho to cash in on Salah’s increase in value and try to get Coutinho for 8.9. I see him as a potential captain option as he served me well in that role late last season when called upon.
Forwards: My big three—Lukaku, Morata, Aguero. Given Kane’s form (another hat trick albeit against Apoel), I think he will be a prohibitive captain favorite at home to Bournemouth in GW8, so I will have a contingency plan to bring him in. It will be interesting to see how the Spurs fare against Huddersfield on Saturday because Huddersfield has looked quite solid defensively so far, sort of like a new Burnley.
Like any Fantasy manager who is doing well early in the season, I am nervous about this gameweek. Chelsea vs Man City may limit points for me so I hope my defense and Mkhi can come through for me. Good luck to all this weekend. s/ Cesspool
