Firstly apologies for not being to provide an update last week; I was on holiday and with blowing up lilos and entertaining my kids etc I didn’t get a chance to write the article though I did my best to post my updates on Twitter. Anyway, onto the article…

I wildcarded over the international break following a couple of very poor weeks with the main objectives of getting in Hazard and Doherty who had destroyed my rank over the last few weeks, whilst setting myself up for the next month or so. 53 is an OK score post-wildcard and saw a green arrow and I have a decent set up aligned to my value theory so I am quite pleased with the outcome. Mendy and Robertson delivered from defence with Salah and Aguero doing what they do best and scoring consistently.
I was contemplating dropping Salah but I’m hoping my faith over the weeks lead to some nice hauls over the next few weeks which is what I’ve been holding him for. My new start signings of Doherty and Hazard blanked but I’m just glad to own them now! Alexander-Arnold being benched was a pain and I will see how he gets on over the next couple.
Transfers and captaincy
No transfers required this week which is great and puts me in a strong position next week to keep on the front foot. I will be looking to do Mitrovic to Arnautovic over the next few weeks so will keep that in mind next week when making any transfers over the next couple. I am currently planning on benching Richarlison but will reassess following the pressers on Friday and post my final team on Twitter.

A good week with the Liverpool defence, Mendy and the strikers delivering and I think I am nicely set up for the coming weeks. I will assess Mane over the next three games with Arnautovic and even Laporte catching my eye as replacements although I need to be careful not to pigeon-hole myself down a rigid formation route which leaves me flexibly exposed. No transfers planned this week and I feel I am in decent position at the moment with a solid team and good amount of transfers used.

A good week and rank jump although I did use a few transfers to get Laporte and Doherty in whilst my Lacazette sadly failed on Monday night. Ryan delivered again and is looking great value for his good run whilst Laporte continued his great form with another 10-pointer with Robertson having yet another clean sheet. Not a great week captaincy-wise although, Aubameyang aside, no-one really scored heavily from the top options.
Transfers and captaincy
I am below where I want to be transfer-wise so after bringing Aguero back in next week I will hold off for a while but do feel I have a solid team for the foreseeable barring injuries. I will captain Salah at home to Cardiff on Saturday, Hazard (or Luiz if Hazard has a knock) on Sunday and Aguero on Monday with the reverse Lacazette transfer.

What a shambles. Aubameyang to Kane looked good on paper but what a disaster coupled with the fact my defence is hideous. What is also annoying is I have a team in the top 3k which I’m not writing up on but is set up very well with transfers in hand. I have some hope that my Liverpool and Spurs attackers will do something tonight to get me back to somewhere near respectability. I need to sort my defence out desperately and will use my November transfers to consolidate and focus on that.

I will confirm all my transfers on Twitter (My Twitter handle is Fergi222, give me a follow!) by the respective deadlines so keep an eye out
Good luck everyone for GW10!
