Sky Sports Fantasy Football – my first draft team

Sky Sports FF

Here’s my first draft Sky Sports Fantasy Football team.  The advantage of Sky Spors Fantasy Fooball is that you can amend the teams as the lineups go out on Saturday providing the Sky Sports Fantasy Football site remains stable.  Hopefully this will give the ability to find value especially in defence.  For now the team is:

Sky Sports Fantasy Football Goalkeeper

Hart, Joe – Man City

0pts
£6.0m

Sky Sports Fantasy Football Defence

I think City will provide the most clean sheets this year and even with a non perfect 6 fixtures he seems the logical choice.  14th best opening 6 fixtures but best defense.

Zabaleta, Pablo – Man City

0pts
£5.6m
Im not wild on doubling up on defence with any team but Zabaleta is by far the best value top 4 team defender

Rafael – Man Utd

0pts
£6.6m
Not cheap but hopefully will nail down the RB position with the injuries to Smalling and Jones.  10th best opening 6 fxtures but most clean sheets last year without Vidic

Tierney, Marc

0pts
£3.8m
A value option which hopefully can be traded out on the Saturday when the lineups are out. Norwich however in pre-season (while they aren’t top on the ease of fixture list)  have  improved their defence significantly.  13th best opening 6 fixtures

Chico – Swansea

0pts
£5.0m
Swansea have done the opposite but as the team with the best opening 6 fixtures they will hopefully show the defensive strength they had last season.  Best opening 6 fixtures of any team.

Sky Sports Fantasy Football Midfield

van der Vaart, Rafael – Spurs

0pts
£8.0m
Nothing needs saying.  Cheaper than Bale and 4th best opening 6 game fixtures

Hazard, Eden – Chelsea

0pts
£7.7m
Chelsea have the 5th best opening 6 game fixtures and although he was dismal in the CS that was against the leagues best team with Chelsea a player down.  Had fantastic record in France goals and assists wise.  Dribbling style and Chelseas lack of possession may play against him with the passing bonus .

Noble, Mark – West Ham

0pts
£4.7m
West Ham have 2nd best opening 6 game fixtures.  Noble is the penalty taker which will hopefully give some short term returns.  Big Sams passing style wont see many passing points

Sky Sports Fantasy Football Forwards

Torres, Fernando – Chelsea – CAPTAIN

0pts
£9.5m
The reluctant captain choice for the first week with 2 games. will be transferred out for Rooney after GW1 as have enough in reserve

Defoe, Jermaine – Spurs

0pts
£7.8m
I dont like doubling up on attacking players euther especially but outstanding value unless something radical happens with Adebayor

Aguero, Sergio – Man City

0pts
£9.9m
No need for comment.  Unlike the Barclays format the price with Tevez is too close to ignore.  Tevez will get more passing points though.
Hopefully that gives everyone food for thought.  Look forward to everyone’s comments
