Comments

It’s worth stating that I haven’t included players that aren’t starting or are at risk of not starting in the opening gameweek.  That’s quite a roll call and includes De Bruyne Ozil, Payet for match fitness reasons.  Mkhitaryan for selection doubts and Pogba for suspension reasons among others where there is a general worry about selection or injury

Its’ worth reading my introduction article which shows the rules and the price rise/drop if you haven’t already

Silva

I’ve gone for Silva for the 2 Man City UCL qualifiers in August.  They will be taken seriously and should get extra games.  De Bruyne would be my favourite but there are doubts whether he will start in the plumb fixture against Sunderland which is why I’m going for Silva.  To be honest he can only get better from last season.  At this price though he is a big price drop risk if he doesn’t perform

Sunderland (H) – August
Stoke (A)
West Ham (H)
Man Utd (A)  – September
Bournemouth (H)
Swansea (A)

Hazard

Another expensive player who under performed last year for Chelsea.  Good fixtures but a price drop risk if it all goes wrong.

West Ham (H)
Watford (A)
Burnley (H)
Swansea (A)
Liverpool (H)
Arsenal (A)

Tadic

A great finish to last season and a very important part of the Southampton team with penalty duties too.  EL fixtures are a big advantage.

Watford (H)
Man Utd (A)
Sunderland (H)
Arsenal (A)
Swansea (H)
West Ham (A)

Everton (A)
Crystal Palace (H)
Liverpool (H)
Stoke (A)
Sunderland (H)
Middlesbrough (A)

Mane

The new Liverpool attacking midfielder is a very streaky player who could either score a hat trick or miss 3 from 2 yards out.  Does get a load of shots in though which would help

Arsenal (A)
Burnley (A)
Spurs (A)
Chelsea (A)
Hull (H)

Eriksen

The Spurs midfielder is one of the leading chance creators in the league and has alot of set piece responsibility for Spurs

Everton (A)
Crystal Palace (H)
Liverpool (H)
Stoke (A)
Sunderland (H)

If shooting from anywhere will get you bonus points then he’ll hoover up loads.  Another streaky player for Liverpool with tricky fixtures up early

Arsenal (A)
Burnley (A)
Spurs (A)
Chelsea (A)
Hull (H)

Redmond

In the mix due to EL fixtures and the fact that it seems he will be playing as a strike partner for Long for Southampton.  That gives him alot of value upside potential

Watford (H)
Man Utd (A)
Sunderland (H)
Arsenal (A)
Swansea (H)
West Ham (A)

Feghouli

The West Ham right winger had a good pre-season.  2 EL qualifiers are a big bonus

Chelsea (A)
Bournemouth (H)
Man City (A)
Watford (H)
West Brom (A)
Southampton (H)

Lamela

Another player who’s had an excellent pre-season for Spurs.  Has had problems converting his chances though.  His average pts were 2.74 btw

Good fixtures to start for Palace.  Will shoot alot but not that cheap.

West Brom (H)
Spurs (A)
Bournemouth (H)
Middlesbrough (A)
Stoke (H)
Sunderland (A)

New player to the league for Middlesborough who had a good record for Ajax.  Couldn’t be cheaper so if you’re looking to gamble to gain value.

Stoke (H)
Sunderland (A)
West Brom (A)
Crystal Palace (H)
Everton (A)
Spurs (H)

The WBA right winger is a fixture punt which are good and a bit of a value gamble if it comes off.  Played for QPR last season in the Championship.

Crystal Palace (A)
Everton (H)
Middlesbrough (H)
Bournemouth (A)
West Ham (H)
Stoke (A)

Arnautovic

The Stoke LAM had a reasonable record last season but is quite a high price
