Bryan O’Rourke

Bryan finished 37th in TFF last season and 7th in 17/18

Week points: 42 Overall rank: 73k

What goes down must come up ? A little bit of a bounce with 42 points scored but a still woeful rank of 73909 place. Hoping very much it’s not a dead cat bounce.

Some good points from the defence, and very little from the attackers this week. Zinchenko is the latest concern, I’m not sure if he is carrying an injury but with Mendy back I will be transferring him out in any case. On Sunday a raft of changes will be made to bring this team up to the top 10K by the year end. Out will go Ederson, Digne, Zinchenko and Silva. In will come Allison, Alexander Arnold, Robertson and Soyoncu in a change to 5-3-2 formation. All based on a hunch that Liverpool will keep clean sheets again now that Allison is fit to play. Time will tell, its an all or bust move with a Pool semi block but one I’m confident should do well. Just need Harry Kane to find his shooting boots again.

The big move on Sunday will leave 31 transfers remaining, which feels about right for this stage in the season. Best of luck.

Sergio Torija

Sergio finished with an overall rank in the 300’s last season

Gw8 points 26

Another disgusting week for my team in line with most of this season. 26 points total, with a couple cleansheets as my only returns. Of particular disappointment where my City contingent, 4 points from 4 player, with the 3 I transferred in last week not playing. I transferred Kane to Aubameyang as well, for another 2 points of course.

Doing nothing this week, in paper great fixtures for my players over the next couple of weeks, well that if mr Guardiola decides to play my players.

Good luck for this week Geekers :)

Ben finished with an overall rank of 576 last season

Week points: 30 Rank: 37435 Transfers remaining: 30

Team review.

Oh the frustration of mediocrity. I don’t think I’ve ever known a season like it. I’m still waiting for a big score to get me back somewhere near on track, but I’ve already used 10 transfers, some of which are a result of said frustration, and the need to make up some ground.

Ederson was the only one in my back line to bring home defensive points, and even that was tainted by the unexpected disappearance of Otamendi, who was swiftly replaced by Matip.

My only attacking return came from Sterling’s assist, but even he was booked.

Team thoughts

I’m basically happy with my team, and feel I am pretty well set for some good fixture teams. I’m just missing a certain Mr Vardy. I am thinking of bringing him in for Pukki, but would be £0.7m short, and the only place I can really find that would be in the goal keeper department. The only cheaper keeper that even comes close to appealing, is Pope at £3.0m. This obviously results in a Burnley double up at the back, but they look as likely to keep a shutout as anyone else. This would also leave me on 28 transfers, which is so far from where I hoped to be.

All the best. Let’s hope things can only get better.

Stephen Troop

Stephen finished with an OR in the 900’s last season

GW4 Score – 28, overall score 391, overall rank 30.1k

Another low scoring week, causing me to drop another 2k places to 30k. It’s certainly been a challenging start to the season. 2 Key Contributions and 1 clean sheet were all my team could muster but with so many big hitters underperforming there hasn’t been a temptation to make too many rash moves.

I have Robertson and TAA flagged but their knocks don’t appear serious so unless something comes out of the press conference they are going nowhere.

Long term Aguero will be replaced given his rotation risk but with 2 plum home fixtures next he is going nowhere yet. Salah will be the obvious replacement and the best time to do the swap (provided Aguero starts each game) is either this Sunday or 30th November and I’m tempted with the latter as that is when Liverpool start to have a great run of fixtures.

Other than that, I have no transfer plans but will monitor Otamendi and whether he gets his place back.
