Bryan O’Rourke

Bryan finished 37th in TFF last season and 7th in 17/18

Week points: 25 Overall rank: 60,455 transfers left 37

A shocker of a week, with most of my crocks out yet again. Cantwell comes in for the injured Emerson in a change to 4-4-2. Best of luck.

 Sergio Torija

Sergio finished with an overall rank in the 300’s last season

Week points: 52 Overall rank:

A disappointing week for my team for several reasons. First pointwise, 52 is alright, but only KDB from the City demolition. I brought in Otamendi to a few of my other teams, but didn’t have the enough budget in this one, which shows the importance of keeping something in the bank. Secondly injuries, both Emerson and Lanzini seem out for at least a month now, so another two enforced transfers to come. Finally a missed planned transfer, I did do KWP to Lowton and Sigurdson to Abraham as planned, but missed on Ryan to Fabianski, which would have instantly rewarded me with a clean sheet, unfortunately I was out this weekend and forgot to do this, part blame to the Geek for that J

So how to go about things from here I am not 100% sure. I still want to remove Ryan, Brighton do play twice before anyone else, but those two games are Chelsea and Spurs, so not sure the extra game is actually a positive. Then, Emerson and Lanzini are two of my cheapies, which means my options are quite limited, unless I removed Salah after he plays the early Saturday game and redistributed funds around. But I think I will hold Salah for now, and probably bring in the double Chelsea pair of Mount and Tomori.

Good luck this week Geekers!

Week points: 47 Overall rank: 51,553 Transfers remaining: 34

 Team review.

I made three transfers last weekend, and they all worked out, especially Otamendi Who filled his fantasy sack with 15 points. Lowton delivered a clean sheet, and Aubameyang scored again, as he does. The big disappointments were the no shows from Zinchenko , Sterling and Lanzini. I’m hoping the latter will return from injury, though his injury record doesn’t fill me with hope. I knew this day was coming, but Zinchenko is now a concern.

Team thoughts.

As far as I’m concerned, I have already used too many transfers, and I am reluctant to use more, but Zinchenko will have to go soon. I will wait for the team news to see if he’s back in this weekend. If he is missing again, it might be a late transfer, possibly to Mount, with a view to cashing in on Chelsea’s wonderful fixtures. I would much rather have Abraham, but that would mean getting rid of Haller, and that seems a bit silly considering I’ve only recently brought him in, and West Ham also have good upcoming fixtures.

So hopefully, no transfers this week, but potentially one if Zinchenko goes AWOL.

Good luck everyone.

Stephen Troop

Stephen finished with an OR in the 900’s last season

GW6 Score – 48, overall score 291, overall rank 24k

Not a huge scoring week for myself but I did rise 6k in the rankings. I still languish at around 24k

I moved Kane on for Aubameyang and Fraser on for Mount. Aubameyang repaid straight away but more or less matched Salah who was the other option I considered (I moved Salah>Aguero last week for a potential 2-0).

The two Liverpool defenders got some attacking returns despite no clean sheet and Ederson got me a clean sheet.

I have a couple of injuries with Lanzini and Duffy. Lanzini should hopefully be ok after the international break and at his price, I think I may as well hold on. Duffy it seems is a bit more unknown and Brighton’s fixtures start to toughen up so I may need to deal with him. I can spend up

to 4.0m and therefore I have a number of options. Otamendi appeals currently but I need to have a look at some more options first and whether I want to keep some money back.

I’m pretty happy with the rest of my team in terms of form/stats and upcoming fixtures.
