Gameweek analysis

Here’s the fantasy premier league match analysis overview – Saturday game week 15 – part 2

Man City 1 Everton 1

Great defensive stats again from Man City.  Reasonable from Everton considering the opposition.  Tevez and Fellaini were miles ahead of anyone in the shooting stats.  Pen box touches went to Tevez, Fellaini and Dzeko.  Barry led the chances created and the most forward midfielders for each team were Fellaini and Nasri.

Aguero didn’t start.  YYT who’s owned by 26% of fantasy premier league managers offered no threat of returns.  Another who’s gaining interest is Silva who did absolutely nothing even in chances created.  Nastasic who is gaining a following as a cheap way in to the City defence didn’t start but at least he didn’t come one as a 1 point sub.

WBA 0 Stoke 1

While Pulis kept pretty much to his first 11, Clarke made a host of changes to the team.  The WBA defence had great stats (probably more a reflection of Stoke than them)  and Stokes were good as well.  Dorrans and Jones led the shooting stats.  Walters who had great stats last week did nothing shooting wise and neither did Adam.   For WBA Long was relatively quiet and Morrison didn’t play.  Pen box touches was convincingly led by Jones then Long.  Chances created was all Dorrans, who was the most forward midfielder for WBA as was Etherington for Stoke.

Liverpool 1 Southampton 0

A number of people myself included went for Suarez as captain over RVP and suffered for it.  Cheapie Wisdom didn’t start unfortunately.  Enrique also went back to being a FB rather than a winger.  Defensively Liverpool were terrific stats wise and with their current fixtures are a defensive must have.  Saints had abysmal defensive stats and really the score should have been far higher.  Suarez and Lambert led the shooting stats followed by Johnson, Enrique and Shelvey.  Highly owned by fantasy premier league managers Sterling was behind that group.  Not surprisingly Sainst attacking assets of Ramirez, Lallana and Puncheon were all quiet.  Suarez, Sterling, Johnson and Skrtel led the pen box touches stats.  Gerrard, Suarez, Sterling, Johnson and Lallana led the chance created column with Johnson getting the games assist.  The most forward midfielders were Ramirez and Sterling.

QPR 1 Villa 1

Cisse surprisingly dropped to the bench although the decision was vindicated by Mackie scoring and a strong performance from QPR.  Again stunning defensive stats from QPR.  With their god fixtures these stats should lead to clean sheets.  Not so impressive from Villa who should have lost.  SWP and Park led the shooting stats.  Taarabt reverted to his worst shooting outside the box stats.  Benteke had a goal rightfully ruled offside but was very quiet and disappointing

Pen Box touches were led by Benteke, Agbonlahor and Mackie.  Taarabt and Diakite led the chances created column.

That’s it Sundays will be tonight or tomorrow morning
