Barclays fantasy premier league – forwards GW10 “ones to watch” BUY HOLD SELL

Fantasy Premier League, Player Rankings

Here’s the “ones to watch” for forwards on the Barclays fantasy premier league  in a buy hold sell format for GW10.  This will give the best forward players at a variety of price ranges

There is no rule for forwards just pick the best ones especially now with goals virtually guaranteeing bonus points:

I’ve provided the following stats to support the player choices and to guide you in your decisions.  I’ve now moved this to this year’s stats:

1.  Goals and assists this year.

2.  Time per point scored this year.  This is how many minutes it takes for a Barclays fantasy premier league point to be scored over the course of the season.  The lower the better obviously.   I’ve now moved to this years stats

3.  Rotation risk.  High, medium or low.  High is the greatest risk of rotation.

4.  Fixture ease ranking:  The link is at the bottom of the article but essentially I’ve ranked all the teams by the ease of the first 6 fixtures.  The team with the best ranking ie 1 will have the easiest next fixtures of any of the fantasy premier league teams over the next 6 games.

5.  Consistency:  The % of times that the player got a goal or assist or 2 point minimum bonus when starting   as a % of games played

6.  I’ve also ranked them in their categories as who I think is currently the best choice

Forwards

1.  Suarez (£11.6m)BUY

Goals and assists: 6 goals and 2 assists:     Time per point scored:  7.8  mins .  Rotation risk: low.   fixture ease ranking: 1st.  Consistency 4/4    100%

Fantastic hat trick last week from the striker who has it all. 100% returns, fantastic  underlying shooting and creating chances stats to back it up.  Great fixtures coming up after the Arsenal game

Next 6 fixtures:  Arsenal (A)   Fulham (H)   Everton (A)   Hull City (A)   Norwich (H)   West Ham (H)

2.  Aguero (£11.4m) BUY

  • Goals and assists:  7 goals 4 assists.  Time per point scored: 9.1  mins .  Rotation risk: medium.   fixture ease ranking: 13th.  Consistency     6/8  75%

World class quality striker who scores home or away irrespective of the opposition.  Great underlying  stats in shooting and creating chances.  The shadow is rotation with the Champions league in full swing.  Can you really give him the armband not knowing whether he will start (even if he is good off the bench). Good alternative captain planning is essential if you have him in your team.  Should play against Norwich having been left out in the Capital One and the way they played in spells against Arsenal but with Champions league midweek cant be guaranteed.

Next 6 fixtures:  Norwich (H)   Sunderland (A)   Tottenham (H)   Swansea (H)   West Brom (A)   Southampton (A)

3.  Sturridge (£10.0m)  BUY

  • Goals and assists:  8 goals 2 assists.  Time per point scored:  12.0 mins .  Rotation risk: low.   fixture ease ranking: 1sr  Consistency 8/9  89%

Unbelievable consistency from the other Liverpool forward.  Doesn’t have the underlying stats either in shooting or especially creating chances that Suarez with his better all round game has but seems to be able to get into good positions and consistently finish.  Still a good buy if you don’t have the cash for Suarez

Next 6 fixtures:  Arsenal (A)   Fulham (H)   Everton (A)   Hull City (A)   Norwich (H)   West Ham (H)

4.  Giroud (£9.6m) BUY

  • Goals and assists least year:  5 goals 4 assists.  Time per point scored:  13.10 mins .  Rotation risk: low.   fixture ease ranking: 11th.  Consistency 7/9   78%

Really consistent returns from a player who has such a good all round game he can be relied on for assists if ever the goal chances don’t come his way.  No rotation possibilities either.  Probably only Suarez and Aguero  have better underlying stats.  A couple of tricky fixtures next is only shadow.

Next 6 fixtures:  Liverpool (H)   Man Utd (A)   Southampton (H)   Cardiff City (A)   Hull City (H)   Everton (H)

5.  Benteke (£8.8m) BUY

  • Goals and assists:  4 goals 0 assists.  Time per point scored: 16.9  mins .  Rotation risk: low.   fixture ease ranking: 2nd.  Consistency     3/7  50%

Heavily involved player who has great underlying stats and is one of the few outside the top 6 or so.  Last week could have been so different if he scored a pen which he missed.  Some very good fixtures in the next 6

Next 6 fixtures:  West Ham (A)   Cardiff City (H)   West Brom (A)   Sunderland (H)   Southampton (A)   Fulham (A)

6.  Lukaku (£8.1m) BUY

Goals and assists:  5 goals 1 assists.  Time per point scored:  10.1  Rotation risk: low.   fixture ease ranking: 17th.  Consistency for Everton 4/5   80%

Back in the goals again and has a very impressive return rate.  Only negatives is that he hasn’t created chances like he did last year and there are some tricky fixtures in the next 6

Next 6 fixtures:  Tottenham (H)   Crystal Palace (A)   Liverpool (H)   Stoke City (H)   Man Utd (A)   Arsenal (A)

7.  Rooney (£10.9m)  HOLD

  • Goals and assists: 4 goals and 4 assists:     Time per point scored:  13.08  mins .  Rotation risk: low.   fixture ease ranking: 5th.  Consistency 6/8    75%

Shows that you don’t need to be the most advanced striker and have loads of shots to get returns.  Did this last year with his underlying stats just not to such an extreme but you just can’t argue with the returns and the fixtures have some quality games in them

Next 6 fixtures:  Fulham (A)   Arsenal (H)   Cardiff City (A)   Tottenham (A)   Everton (H)   Newcastle (H)

8.  RVP (£13.9m) HOLD

  • Goals and assists:  5 goals 1 assists.  Time per point scored:  15.0 mins .  Rotation risk: low.   fixture ease ranking: 5th.  Consistency 4/8   50%

Returned now 2 games in a row and now has the consistency rate above 50%.  Has the advantage of consistent selection and pens but with that price tag he is such a weight on your team with other very good alternatives.  There is also now no fear in owning him like last season and his complete lack of creating chances and assists through not dominating set pieces (he did at least share them last week)  is a big hindrance.  Still no way should he be sold before a game against Fulham

Next 6 fixtures:  Fulham (A)   Arsenal (H)   Cardiff City (A)   Tottenham (A)   Everton (H)   Newcastle (H)

9.  Soldado (£9.2m) SELL

  • Goals and assists:  4 goals 2 assists.  Time per point scored: 14.3  mins .  Rotation risk: medium.   fixture ease ranking: 14th.  Consistency     5/9  56%

Has pens, pretty good underlying shooting and creating chances stats and a great track record from La Liga so alot of positives.  The negatives are the fixtures coming and the alternatives plus Spurs inability to score enough goals not to make you nervous each week.  Its just the alternatives and the fixtures

Next 6 fixtures:  Everton (A)   Newcastle (H)  Man City (A)   Man Utd (H)   Fulham (A)   Sunderland (A)

10.  Negredo (£9.1m) SELL

  • Goals and assists:  3 goals 2 assists.  Time per point scored: 12.9  mins .  Rotation risk: high.   fixture ease ranking: 13th.  Consistency     4/9  50%

Is there anything worse that having a fantasy premier league striker who comes on for the last 4 minutes?  I guess away to Chelsea playing 1 up front is understandable and Pellegrini has regularly played 2 with Negredo and Aguero the top picks.  However,  its still a good example of the rotation risk with any City striker.  Negredo has shown the ability to score from the bench though and the returns are pretty good to say the least but better alternatives

Next 6 fixtures:  Norwich (H)   Sunderland (A)   Tottenham (H)   Swansea (H)   West Brom (A)   Southampton (A)

Bony(£7.5m) PUNT

  • Goals and assists:  2 goals 1 assists.  Time per point scored: 18.1  mins .  Rotation risk: high   fixture ease ranking: 6th.  Consistency     3/8  38%

I cant quite understand what Laudrup is doing here.  There’s obviously some negative view about Michu and Bony but after the dismal failure in dropping Bony last week hopefully he will return for the big game against Cardiff.  Has very good underlying shooting and creating chances stats even if he is struggling conversion wise.  There’s still some good fixtures and last time he was benched he started the next game so there is hope for the juicy Cardiff fixture

Next 6 fixtures:  Cardiff City (A)   Stoke City (H)   Fulham (A)   Man City (A)   Newcastle (H)   Hull City (H)
