Important note before going further

I’ve now changed the focus to the last 10 gameweeks rather than the season

The first schedule ranks players by their NON penalty underlying stats and expected assists converted to FPL points in the last 10 gameweeks . Those who have taken penalties or are expected to be the penalty taker have an * next to their name

The form gives their ranking from the season/last 10 gameweeks/ last 5 gameweeks.  I’ve put them in seperate columns so they are sortable

The F Ease is the fixture ease ranking.

The value for money VFM ratio is the total expected points from their underlying stats divided by their price

The 2nd schedule shows their xG90 (expected goals) and xA90 (expected assists) plus their shots per 90 and key passes per 90.

There’s also anytime goalscorer odds.

I’ve already posted the defender rankings and midfield player rankings

Player values and PPMs are as of Tuesday 30 March

The schedule ranked by Forwards NON penalty underlying stats over the last 10 Gameweeks

Here is the link to the google spreadsheet. You can go to file>make a copy and then sort it how you like. 300 mins needed to qualify.

Underlying Stats are from the free site understat.com

A few comments

Antonio

If only Antonio could put the ball in the net in line with his underlying stats he’d be an Aguero type returner. Unfortunately history of finishing isn’t exactly positive either.

7 goals and 5 assists with returning a goal or assist in 50% of his games which is good for the price.

Fixtures are pretty mixed up until WBA and Southampton in the last 3 games of the season.

Iheanacho

He’s started the last 4 games and scored 5 of his 6 season goals. Ignore his season ranking and PPM they are distorted by his 8 sub appearances added to his 8 starts.

The underlying stats are excellent and not too dissimilar to recent seasons. The risk is that he hasn’t exactly been a brilliant historical finisher whereas so far this season he’s about on par with his xG. His volumes are excellent though.

Has a great 4 game run of fixtures starting in GW32

The main question is whether he holds his place when Maddison and Barnes are back potentially in GW30 and GW33 respectively.

Bamford

Form has been a bit inconsistent in the last 10 gameweeks when we’ve seen 5 pretty ordinary performances and you can see the drop off in ranking compared to the season one. It’s still seen 4 goals and 4 assists in that spell.

The issue is though that after Sheffield Utd in GW30 the fixtures tail off before you get to Burnley, Southampton and WBA in the last 3.

Watkins

Like Bamford has fallen away compared to his season ranking however the drop has been longer. He hasn’t scored since GW23 and we’ve only seen 2 assists in those subsequent 7 games. In terms of attacking output 4 games have been shocking non events in the last 10. 6 of those games have been without Jack Grealish and Smith seemingly removing anyone from the side with any creativity as well.

How much Grealish will help assuming he returns in GW30 remains to be seen but he has shown over the season that the last 10 doesn’t represent what he can do.

After Fulham though there are 2 excellent exit points in Liverpool and Man City although you might want to ride it until WBA in gw33

Kane

With Spurs out of Europe and out of the Europa League the Premier League becomes a serious point of focus and priority as a top 4 place is still not out of the question.

You would think that should help solidify Kane starting for 90 minutes every game which will be a massive boost with Salah, De Bruyne and Fernandes all still in Europe.

While his ranking has dropped slightly in the last 10 gameweeks we’ve still seen 5 goals and 2 assists in 8 starts over that period.

He’s also been consistent with 17 returns of a goal or assists in 27 starts which is very healthy 63% return rate.

Vardy

While Vardy has been good over the season his recent form has been patchy with only 1 goal scored in 12 appearances since GW14. Granted there have been 6 assists, albeit 3 of these were vs Sheffield Utd in GW28. The underlying stats look good over the last 10 gameweeks but they are held up by 2 games vs Sheffield Utd and Liverpool with the other 5 games he played being very poor.

In mitigation Maddison has been out the last 4 and Barnes the last 3 which could be put forward as some sort of excuse but that hasn’t stopped Iheanacho
