Introduction

This is part 4 of the FPL managers who contribute to the FFGeek site with good histories who show their teams each week. This will give people a feel for what other managers are doing. It’s a fairly informal thing with no obligation on anyone and these teams may change at anytime before the deadline without further notice. It won’t cover transfers in real time either. It’s just to give an idea of the trends for the week no more.  The teams are shown as their “final-ish” teams so they could change.  Where they have twitter accounts I have shown this and they may update them there or on our Slack Channel which is part of our subscription Patreon site but this is not guaranteed

Sergio Torija

Another week, another benching disaster, another red arrow, and that is 5 in a row now. At least I’ve picked the right captains lately so that has smoothed the red arrows. Somehow talked myself into playing Johnstone and not Martinez, so that was a double digit keeper haul gone to the drain. Couldn’t make any more ‘wrong’ bench choices since my bench is getting thinner by the minute. Particularly things are looking bad in defence, with just Chilwell as a safe pick, Cancelo and Telles at least rotation risks, while Neco Williams and Lowe are probably out of the regular playing picture by now.

So this week it seems urgent to bring someone secured for starts in defence. I’ve gone Lowe to Maguire, don’t love it, but it is what it is. At least he’ll play, hopefully United start keeping cleans and you never know, he might start putting a header or two in. There is again potential for another benching mistake, since I’ve left Soucek in the bench. In a way, I would be happy with one of my starters missing out this week to avoid on this. The other two bench spots seem clear for Brewster and Neco Williams.

Captaincy too comes with two good options, although I was always going to end up captaining De Bruyne home to West Brom. Fernandes away against Sheffield United seems a great pick too, but he’ll just be my vice this time.

Good luck all!
