Costas Chari
Costas’s last 4 seasons overall ranks were 17k, 84k, 29k and 27k
Less than 2 week to go and there is a lot of uncertainty for teams, players even transfers.
I feel like the friendlies and Community Shield confused things more rather than making oir life easier.
For instance,
Arsenal: will Aubameyang play on the wing and Nketiah or Lacazette CF or will Aubameyang get the CF position once Willian is in the team? Will Saka keep his place or will he rotate with Pepe?
Spurs: should we trust them this year? Or will we own Harry Kane at £10.5 for them to score one goal and park the bus or will the gang of Kane, Alli, Son, Moura and Bergwijn do some damage- the potential is there… Sure thing is that they will be better defensively this season.
Liverpool: is Robbo the one to go for this season as there is a doubt on Alexander Arnold’s fitness? With all the midfield premiums should be stick on one of Salah or Mane given their poor pre season form?
Even in Newcastle, and trust me I never thought I would say this but is Carroll the one to own with 2 goals in as many friendlies?
Should we play with 5 mids?
Which and how many of the £5.5m- £6.5m options to choose? I can name 10.. Mitrovic, Antonio, Jota, Ward -Prowse, Armstrong, Che Adams, Pereira, Foden, Maupay, Wood.
I used to always stick to 2-3 premiums throughout the season and changed all the mid priced players constantly depending on fixtures and form, will this have to change this season regarding all the premiums in midfield? Should we stick to 3-4 mid priced players throughout the season and constantly change our premiums that would also be our captain picks?
Rashford and especially Aubameyang as midfielders really change things up. If you add a point for every Aubameyang scored last season and another point for every clean sheet that should put him on the top with De Bruyne and Salah so why are most managers including myself are thinking “ok lets change him GW3 for De Bruyne or Sterling”… Something you wouldn’t even think about with Salah or De Bruyne so is Aubameyang the one to keep for throughout the season?
The intention of this write up is not to make you even more confused than you are currently are but rather make you productive… I believe that this start of the FPL season is the hardest one ever with all the changes in position and with the limited information from a very narrow pre season.
My strategy will be to have a nice price range of players for each position in order to make quick changes without needing 2 transfers. I have also toyed with players such as Pereira of West Brom and Armstrong of Southampton for the good fixtures at the start. However, now I am thinking of having players such as Saint Maximin, Mitrovic and Wood as you know that throughout the season they will score around 100pts and change premiums throughout the season.
…. Imagine if Messi joins the premier league as well and is priced 13.5-14
Anyway here’s my team as it stands:
Scott Taylor
Scott finished with an overall rank of 15k last season, 1k 18/19 and 12k in 17/18
Joseph Crilley
Joseph’s last 4 seasons OR were 68k, 28k, 7k and 13k

Keith Spencer
Keith’s last 4 seasons overall ranks were 27k, 44k, 3k and an incredible 325th overall
