Introduction
It’s worth noting that the teams shown may not necessarily end up being the final teams or the transfers may have been made in the days prior to the posting . It’s an informal situation to give you an idea of trends. However the FFGeek team and the Contributor tracker team mentioned above on the FFGeek Patreon site all make transfers as articles are posted. So you’re always up to date and live
Rick Porter

GW23 review
Never has a Gameweek been both so long and so uninteresting. I can barely remember what happened. Which, judging by my meagre score, is probably for the best. I dropped 6k, which could have been worse I suppose. Still, things should get more interesting from here on in and – now that it looks like Keane and Livramento could both be playing again – my team is looking in surprisingly decent shape. At least, decent enough that Wildcarding isn’t a necessity.
Transfer
Salah was going to be my transfer in this week but he’s unlikely to be a captain favourite and many will delay bringing him in now. That being the case I’ll take a different route so I can further firm up my bench and protect myself from a future threat. De Gea is highly owned around my rank, so I want to try and offset the damage he could do in DGW25 by adding a Man U defender. Alonso will be the one leaving the team, I’m just not sure which defender to bring it yet. Probably Dalot due to his price, but I’m still mulling over whether I should go for someone more nailed considering money isn’t really an issue.
Forward planning
Looking forward to GW25 I’ll probably bring in Salah for Foden. I’ll already have Ronaldo, a Man United defender, Mac Allister (if Covid free) and Sanchez playing twice, so no urgent need to bring in more doublers. I could bring in Bruno instead of Salah if I get spooked, but it would mean a -4 in GW26 as I’d need to switch both Bruno for Salah and Ronaldo for Kane rather than just the latter. Either way, I’ll end up with seven doublers in GW26 (including the two ever-reliable Watford forwards) with Bowen, Gallagher, Cancelo and Livramento with good fixtures making up the rest. I should be able to scratch together a full team in GW27 too but, with many likely to use their Free Hit chip, that week will largely be about damage limitation. That leaves me able to use my only remaining FH in BGW30 then Wildcard ahead of one of the later doubles to prepare for Bench Boost.
Captain
Undecided but probably Cancelo captain and Bowen vice. It’s a close one this week.

GW 23 Review
A very long GW finished with a fourth consecutive green arrow. My best run this season.
I played my WC in GW16 and it has taken a while to come good.
My Man Utd defensive double up paid dividends with Dalot (9) and DDG (6) keeping clean sheets. Jota (5) returned an assist. My only other playing returning was Coufal (7) who was my third sub.
Looking Forward
With Bruno as a strong captaincy option as well as Dalot and DDG, I am well set up for DGW25.
I currently have two Liverpool players (Jota and Trent), Reguilon from Spurs and triple Watford (King, Dennis and Bachmann) which gives me 5 players actually playing in DGW26. Salah is the player I want to get in for that GW as my captain.
With the AFCON just finishing and Mo having played 120 minutes four times I am not in a rush to get him in this GW.
Chips
I have rough plan pencilled in for my chip use. It will now doubt evolve as more information becomes available. Hopefully, it will be of use to readers. It is team dependent of course.
My rough plan is to use my Triple Captain chip in GW26 on either Mo Salah or Trent Alexander-Arnold.
In GW27, Chelsea, Leicester, Arsenal and Liverpool blank. I don’t have any of the first 3 teams. I will have 3 Liverpool players by then but I can use a transfer to get rid of one. Potentially Jota to Son. That would mean I would be able to save my Free Hit chip. I expect to Free Hit in BGW30 especially if the Burnley vs Southampton match goes ahead which will give me 8 teams to choose from.
GW31 looks like a good one to play my WC. It will give me 9 weeks to get the benefit from it similar to how I am currently benefitting from my first one 8GWs later. GW33 looks like it will be a DGW so I am thinking of playing my Bench Boost then. Finally, I can play my second Free Hit chip in Bumper DGW36.
So to recap:
Current Chip Strategy
GW26 Triple Captain
GW30 Free Hit 1
GW31 Wild Card
GW33 Bench Boost
GW36 Free Hit 2
Transfer
My team looks fine for GW24 so I will be saving a transfer. I will be able to use it better when we have more information about upcoming rearranged fixtures. I will also need 2 free transfers to get Mo in without a hit.
Rolling GW24 transfer
GW 24 Captaincy
I have a lot of players in my team which could be good captains:
Trent, Cancelo, Foden, Jota and Bowen. I will leave it until Tuesday before deciding, having heard the pressers.
West Ham looked very poor against Kidderminster and despite Bowen scoring the winner, I have been put off him somewhat, despite his easy looking match home to Watford.
Leicester’s defence was run ragged against Nottm Forest so Trent appeals to me more as he plays a Vardyless Foxes team next.
This week the team looks odd rocking a 541 formation but these are the players who are likely to pick up the most points.
Transfer summary: likely carrying over the free transfer
Here’s the team assuming no transfer is made

transfer summary: Likely Bernardo Silva out for De Bruyne
Here’s the team prior to any transfer being made
Chris Tucker
Chris’s last 4 seasons overall ranks were 249k, 41k, 17k and 1k
GW23 Points: 29 (FPL average 35) Total points: 1,418, Overall Rank: 89k, red arrow: 12k Team Value: £104.9m
Chris is debating activating his wildcard
A wildcard is highly likely this week. I haven’t pushed the button, mainly because it feels strange playing the second wildcard so early, but my team has become stuck in a rut and needs surgery.
My current draft is below. It allows for De Bruyne to become Fernandes for the GW25 double, who would then become Salah for GW26.
In this scenario De Bruyne would be captain.
But I would imagine there’s still a lot of tinkering left to do!
Transfer summary: Likely wildcarding
Here’s a draft pre activation of the wildcard
