FANTASY PREMIER LEAGUE BEST FIXTURES GW22 – FIXTURE EASE SCHEDULE

So, here’s our fantasy premier league best fixtures GW22 article where we analyse the teams with the best 6 and 3 fixtures from GW22. The schedule ranks the teams in terms of easiness of their opponents from an attacking perspective. We also highlight the teams with the best fixtures and make some player suggestions with stats to help you make transfer decisions.

Essentially the team ranked 1 will have the best fixtures and the team ranked 20 will have the hardest fixtures.

Column 1 will focus on the attacking ease of the next 6 fixtures from this gameweek. That gives a rough time frame to look at as you never now how long it will be before you can get someone out of your team. However for a shorter perspective we’ve ranked the next 3 in column 2.

The 2nd schedule takes a longer term view. It analyses the next 6 fixtures also from gameweek 23 and gameweek 24

The key teams are highlighted in grey

If you want to plan further out here’s the link to our FPL calendar which identifies clusters of good fixtures for teams

FOCUS ON TEAMS WITH THE BEST NEXT 3 FIXTURES

This week I’m going to continue to look at the teams with the best next 3 fixtures and highlight the best attacking players. I’ll then look at their longer term fixture prospects

SOUTHAMPTON

Next 4 fixtures are good

With FPL classified midfielder Jay Rodriguez starting on the bench against his old club Burnley he now becomes a gametime risk although whether thats something permanent or just Puel rotation remains to be seen

Given that,  it’s hard to identify any viable option.  Maybe £5.8m mid Redmond (points per game 3.3) although 1 assist in his last 11 games is hardly a recommendation.  He at least plays in a fairly advanced position and did score in the EFL Cup semi.  His minutes are unfortunately fairly erratic and he rarely completes 90

Leicester (H)
Swansea (A)
West Ham (H)
Sunderland (A)

WBA

Great fixtures

£6.8m forward Rondon (PPG 4.0m) is one of 2 picks here. However he’s hardly the most consistent with only 2 returning games in the last 9.  He does have some ok underlying stats and when he scored this season it’s mainly been against the lower placed teams

The next is RAM come number 10 £5.8m mid Phillips (PPG 5.1).   It’s 2 returning games in the last 5 which isn’t too bad for the price.  He also plays in an advanced position, is a 90 minute player and has some set piece responsibility

Sunderland (H)
Middlesbrough (A)
Stoke (H)
West Ham (A)
Bournemouth (H)
Crystal Palace (H)

LIVERPOOL

It’s 2 of the best fixtures you can have with Chelsea in the middle.

With their being no certainty over the forward position it’s then the 3 mids to concentrate on

£8.3m mid Coutinho (5.6 PPG) is just coming back from an injury and has 2 goals and 3 assists in his last 4 starts before being injured.  Before the injury he had become a 90 minute player with good shooting and creating chances underlying stats and set piece responsibility

£8.4m mid Firmino (4.9 PPG) has had his best returns as a false 9/central striker with 1 goal in his last 10.  However the injury to Coutinho has seen this shared between Sturridge and Origi.  His underlying stats have held up to a large extent he just can’t seem to score.  He would be a big leap of faith though with that recent form

£7.7m mid Lallana (5.6 PPG) plays from a deeper position and ghosts into the box.  He doesn’t have any underlying stats but his returns speak for themselves.  4 goals and 4 assists in his last 8 starts speak for themselves.

CRYSTAL PALACE

Good fixtures up to Spurs in GW28

The only player coming even close to an option is £7.4m forward Benteke who has a PPG of 3.7. However there are no goals or assists in his last 5 games and he’s only returned either a goal or assist in 7 of 19 games this season. His underlying shooting stats have also fallen away recently.

With Zaha gone to AFCON there’s no midfield options. £5.2m mid Puncheon has some share of set pieces with Cabaye but only has 1 assist in his last 13 starts. £5.9m mid Townsend only has 2 returning games in the 14 starts he’s had this season and hasn’t been a guaranteed starter. £5.6m mid Cabaye has 2 goals in 15 starts.

Bournemouth (A)
Sunderland (H)
Stoke (A)
Middlesbrough (H)
West Brom (A)
Spurs (H)

EVERTON

5 good fixtures until they play Spurs

£9.5m forward Lukaku (5.8 PPG) is the obvious option here with 3 goals and an assist in his last 4.  He doesn’t really have great underlying stats but he’s the star of the team and virtually always plays 90 minutes

£6.0m mid Mirallas (3.5 PPG) has shown some recent form with 2 goals and 2 assists and plays in a very advanced position.  He is a bit of a substitution magnet though which can be quite limiting

£7.0m Barkley (3.8 PPG) has 1 goal and 4 assists in his last 6 games.  He has been playing a little deeper than earlier in the season when he was playing just behind Lukaku.  No underlying stats but does have some set piece responsibility

Crystal Palace (A)
Stoke (A)
Bournemouth (H)
Middlesbrough (A)
Sunderland (H)

MAN UTD

There’s 4 good fixtures until they play the Man City

£11.6m forward Ibrahimovic is the top pick here. His PPG is 6.5 and he’s returned a goal or assist in 13 of his 20 games as well as in all of his last 6. Great underlying stats back that up as no fluke either

£8.5m CM Pogba is another option. His PPG of 4.0 isn’t particularly great but his recent form has shown improvement with 37 points in his last 6 matches. He has blanked thoughin his last 2 and he was not great vs Liverpool.  He is a box to box midfielder though rather than an attacking midfielder.  You are pretty much guaranteed 90 minutes as a plus.

Lastly there’s RAM mid £9.0m Mkhitaryan. His PPG of 2.5 doesn’t reflect reality as it’s distorted by sub appearances. He plays as a RAM and really has the ability to score or assist even though he’s unluckily blanked in the last 3.  He’s played 90 minutes in 2 of the last 3 but with Rooney, Martial and Rashford all as potential subs it will take some convincing to believe hes a 90 minute player going forward.

Stoke (A)
Hull (H)
Leicester (A)
Watford (H)
Man City (A)

SUMMARY

Of the above Ibrahimovic is probably essential if you didn’t already know.  Phillips, Coutinho and Lukaku are my favoured picks,  as potentially could be Mkhitaryan

In addition to the above Man City have good fixtures after Spurs, bringing into play Aguero, De Bruyne and Sterling

Spurs (H)
West Ham (A)
Swansea (H)
Bournemouth (A)
