Introduction

This article consists of a schedule ranking forwards based on their underlying stats over the season of the season. xG and xA per game are converted to FPL attacking points. Stats are from the excellent free site FBREF Players injured or suspended or with significant gametime risk are excluded from the schedule.

There’s also their FPL points per match as well as their value for money rating. The higher the better. Above 10 is the gold standard. D28 is double gameweek 28 and FB30 means they have a guaranteed fixture in GW30 which is a blank due to FA Cup quarter clashes.

The rankings are purely mathematical and there is no adjustment for fixtures coming up or the amount of additional games or blanks. The attacking players fixture ease schedule is below

Prices and stats are as of the 22 February and doesn’t include Wednesdays games

The ranking schedule

As I said above the rankings are based on their xG and xA per game converted to FPL attacking points

Transfer suggestions for GW27

The fundamentals of looking for players that have a good entry point fixture as well as a good overall fixture ranking in the upcoming 6 gameweeks plus represent overall value for money and consistency of performances are what I’m looking for. The suggestions are not in any particular order

Kane

Kane’s season and faith in him stems from the last 10 gameweeks where we’ve seen 6 goals and 1 assist with him returning a goal or assist in 50% of those games. The underlying stats back this up and have improved significantly. It seems though that he may not function as positively against low block teams as games against Burnley, Watford and Wolves haven’t exactly produced stellar performances.

However as an entry point the attacking mindset of Leeds couldn’t be better and after that they remain good.

Broja

Broja came into the team regularly at GW15 and since then has scored 4 goals and 2 assists in 10 starts plus 1 as sub. He’s returned in 5 of those games for a consistency return rate of 45%. The underlying stats of those games could be better but are okish.

However his price is the big attraction as are the fixtures

Weghorst

1 goal and 2 assists and 5 starts and pretty ordinary underlying stats isn’t setting the world alight and this is mainly about his double gameweek 27 as the fixtures after that could certainly be better. They also have a couple of other postponed games to be rearranged for potential doubles as well

These potentially can become double gameweeks although we’ve already seen that this isn’t necessarily going to be the case
