Bryan Forbes O’Rourke

Bryan finished an incredible 7th place overall in telegraph fantasy football last season

91 weekly points  5,338 overall. 7 transfers left

Nothing much to report, this team has suffered death from a thousand cuts and there is nothing to play for. It’s on the beach already. The line-up looks ok, no injuries or suspensions so Ill leave it as it is and use the remaining transfers for cup final day and hope for a surprise Watford clean sheet.

Good luck anyone going for the seasonal prizes and cash leagues.

An average week for my team, but a rank drop of around 400 places. Once again, the Liverpool clean sheet with KCs for their popular defenders probably the main reason for it. I am glad I brought back Salah a couple weeks ago.

I’ll use my last sub this week, City play on Monday plus are in the FA cup final, so any transfer to them brings two extra games. Plus obviously, they are the best team with Liverpool. I’ll remove either Duffy or Doherty, need to think which one can score more negative points in their last games against City and Liverpool respectively. Haven’t decided yet which City player to go for, it could be any of Laporte, Sane or the Silvas.

Good luck for GW37 Geekers

Team review.

What a wonderful week. The Liverpool investment strategy has worked out better than I could have hoped. From their match with Huddersfield alone I got six KC’s, three shut outs and four goals.

Ederson also contributed two clean sheets, while Doherty chipped in with 8 points of his own.

Sterling could only manage 7 in his two games, but Aguero and Jimenez both scored 9.

I’m hoping I have now consolidated my place in the top 1000, and will see how far I can go in what remains of the season.

Team thoughts

I’m basically happy with my team, which allows me to move forward with my next cunning plan.

I’m more than happy to have Doherty as Wolves play Fulham this weekend. But I won’t be so keen to own him on the final day when he comes up against Liverpool. So once Wolves have played Fulham, Doherty will make way for Luke Shaw. Man United play Huddersfield on Sunday, and Cardiff on the final day. I will then be hoping for two clean sheets and some attacking points.

I’m also not convinced that Liverpool will be able to stop Wolves scoring in their last match, so once Liverpool have visited Newcastle on the Saturday, I shall be removing one of my Liverpool defenders, and replacing them with Laporte, who faces Leicester on Monday, and of course has the extra game in the cup final.

Part three of my plan also involves bringing in another Man City player in preparation for the cup final. I will have the exact funds to change Van Dijk, (once he’s played Newcastle of course), for Mr B Silva. He will then have the chance to play three times to Van Dijk’s solitary outing.

I will then have four Man City players and one Watford in place for the final, with one transfer remaining. This can be used to cover any injuries for the last game week, or to add another Man City player.

In summary:

Doherty, Robertson and Van Dijk out.

Shaw, Laporte and B.Silva in.

Good luck boys and girls.

An ok week with 98 points and small ranking gain to just inside the top 7k. I transferred out Salah for Son for the 2 extra games before Salah plays again but this hasn’t worked out so far. Hopefully Son can repay me against Bournemouth. My plans for this week will simply be to reverse that transfer after Son has played, and barring injuries etc my other transfer plans will be to bring in B Silva the following Monday night which leaves me 2 free for any emergencies or for the FA cup final.
