Fantasy Premier League, fixture ease schedule

Here’s our fantasy premier league fixture difficulty article with a Fixture Schedule to the next 6 gameweeks for defenders and goalkeepers.  Here we look at the teams and players with the best fixtures from a defensive perspective for the next 6 gameweeks.  There are 2 schedules one including the DGW and one for those FPL managers thinking of free hitting for the DGW

Methodology

With games being played behind closed doors I’ve reduced the home and away advantage significantly but not taken it away completely.

I have a fixture graphic below which I’ve colour coded for difficulty. It is just to improve the visual aspect of the schedule and the factors I’ve talked about above, rather than the just the colours, are basis for calculation.

Player values are as at 31 May.

A fixture difficulty  schedule for defensive players WITH the DGW.

Here’s a graphic where the teams are ranked by the ease of the attacking teams they face for the next 6 gameweeks. There’s defensive player suggestions below.

This includes the double gameweek which does tend to mean the schedule favours those teams due to the extra fixture.

Defensive player stats

Here I’ve picked out the 5 teams with the best fixtures.

PPM is their 19/20 points per match from the FPL site

Aston Villa

Very poor defence so I would ignore

Manchester City

Hard to pick a defender due to rotation

£6.0m Ederson  – PPM 3.3

Sheffield United

£5.3m GK Henderson – PPM 4.5

He will be ineligible to play against Man Utd

£5.1m Def Baldock – PPM 4.1

£4.7m Def O’Connell – PPM 3.4

I prefer Stevens to Baldock but a couple of substitutions in the last 2 gameweeks has spooked me.

Leicester

£5.4m GK Schmeichel – PPM 4.1

£4.9m Def Soyuncu – PPM 3.7

Watford

£4.9m GK Foster – PPM 3.8

£4.3m Def Cathcart – PPM 2.8

A fixture ease schedule for defensive players WITHOUT the DGW.

Here’s a graphic where the teams are ranked by the ease of the attacking teams they face from the 5 gameweeks after the DGW.  It’s specifically designed for those FPL managers who want to free hit in DGW30.  There’s defensive player suggestions below.
